The Business Development Director – Pack Health (Life Sciences) is responsible for top line revenue generation with regional and national Life Science Companies, selling Pack Health's Patient Engagement services. You will leverage the current momentum to continue to expand Pack Health’s business model as it relates to commercial, patient support, and evidence generation offerings for Life Science Companies.

As the Business Development Director, you will be a subject matter expert, consultant, and thought partner to Life Science Companies (Pharmaceutical, etc). You will develop a comprehensive business development strategy with new and potential clients, to identify services and solutions that best fit the client’s needs, challenges, and goals. You will understand the complexity and nuances of cultivating long term relationships with clients while identifying and executing the ideal path towards generating a partnership and/or potential revenue. To achieve this, the Business Development Director may strategically propose customized solutions, pilot programs, joint ventures, or partnerships to secure new business opportunities while cultivating the trust of new and potential clients.

The Business Development Director will be an integral part of the business development team to help support company growth as well as the entrepreneurial process of developing a new sales function, emphasizing Quest Diagnostics/Pack Health’s core value of helping individuals live healthier lives.

This is a remote position with regular travel.


Primary objectives of this position are to:

  • Drive profitable growth of new business opportunities for Pack Health, leveraging relationships with Life Science Companies (Pharmaceutical) for maximum corporate growth benefit.
  • Assist in executive-level presentation development and delivery.
  • Assist in logical and simplified approach to proposal submissions.
  • Identify and grow partnerships with strategic clients/partners to drive product and services sales.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales quota; achieve budgeted revenue and gross margin goals for the business while operating within policies and procedures.
  • Lead business development meetings with prospective clients and turn their goals into viable business opportunities for the company.
  • Engage in at least 35% travel to support client engagement, project planning, contracting, and follow-up as needed.

Education Required:

BA/BS Degree 

Required Work Experience:

  • Experience managing new business opportunities from both new and existing clients.
  • Experience strategizing and closing large, complex, deals.
  • Experience prospecting and managing a pipeline.
  • Experience and skills to work effectively while remote.
  • Experience working within or in service to a Life Science Company.

Preferred Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years participating in team-based, client-facing account management or business consulting (over 10 years’ experience strongly preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years successful selling track record and Healthcare business development experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with in or in service to Life Science Companies.
  • Senior-level relationships with Pharmaceutical companies 

Skills:

  • Strong commitment to strategy, sales, and business development
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to concurrently lead multiple projects
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Hunter mentality a must!
