Job Description


The Epic MyChart Analyst IV acts as the senior technical authority for Epic MyChart ecosystem at Quest. They are responsible for setting technical standards, driving innovation, and solving the most complex challenges related to the digital patient experience. This role defines the architectural vision for MyChart, ensuring it remains scalable, secure, and aligned with long term enterprise goals. The Lead Analyst mentors other Analysts on MyChart and serves as the ultimate escalation point for technical issues, and acts as the primary technical liaison between the application team, enterprise architects, and business leaders.




Responsibilities:
  • Define and govern the technical architecture and standards for the Epic MyChart application
  • Lead research and development of emerging patient engagement technologies and champion opportunities to innovate and automate
  • Mentor analysts on the team establishing best practices and serving as a role model for professional development
  • Act as the final technical escalation point for the most complex MyChart issues and integrations
  • Provide input into the application direction of the patient digital experience, aligning MyChart capabilities with business strategy
  • Lead the technical design and strategy for integrating MyChart with enterprise systems and third-party platforms using APIs and other technologies
  • Establish and hold others accountable for adhering to Epic’s foundation system principles and standards
  • Looks ahead owning the innovation pipeline, and advising connecting their work to business outcomes



Qualifications:

Required:

  • 10+ years of experience in Epic experience
  • 7+ MyChart application experience with measurable improvements in patient engagement
  • Advanced knowledge of patient engagement platforms HL7, and API integrations
  • Proven experience setting technical standards
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders to innovate Quest’s technology to forward our brand
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts 
  • Deep expertise in mobile applications strategy and user experience
  • Deep understanding of patient privacy, data security and regulatory standards (HIPAA)
  • Cross certification in other Epic modules

Preferred:

  • Strong project management experience

Work Environment:

  • Work requires handling light and simple weight material and equipment. Visual activity requires the ability to tolerate prolonged periods of close computer screens.  Work requires speed, accuracy and adeptness to operate in system application.  Fast-paced work environment.  After hours, weekend and holiday work will occasionally be required as determined by the Application Mgr to support software/hardware patches, upgrades, downtimes and potential disasters.

Education:

  • College degree in computer science, information science or equivalent work experience (Required)
  • MyChart Certification (Required)

  • Additional relevant Epic Certification (eg Ambulatory, Cadence, Prelude) (Required)

  • Project management or process improvement certifications eg Six Sigma, Agile (Required)
