Anatomic / Cytology Operations Supervisor - Clifton, NJ, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Pay range: $64,900 - $116,820 / year
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Is responsible for overseeing the pre & post analytical non-technical operation of the Anatomic Department, including Offsite Hubs and File Retention in compliance with CLIA regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, interview, hire and train new employees.
- Employee annual review, resolutions of personal and job related problems. Disciplinary action written or verbal.
- Check and analyze quality control data. Make informed judgments and take appropriate action to maintain accuracy and precision.
- Maintain competency assessment and training verification standards for TZ and hubs.
- Prepares and maintains department procedures, charts, logs and task schedules.
- Observes and enforces safety guidelines and procedures as established by laboratory management and required law.
- Handle client's request. Solve client complaints QAL/CAR responses per laboratory policy.
- Evaluate and solve problems involved with processing of specimens TZ and hubs.
- Edit reports and make correction as authorized. Facilitate pathologist's reviews of reports and final signature. Effectively monitors pending work for timely completion.
- Prepare procedures and reports as required.
- Support all hub locations with staffing, training, support and on site visits.
- Maintain code and CT/PT computer information and request for computer assisted programs.
- Support QLS/IDAA/QPS Implementations and staff support for all locations of Anatomic Pathology.
- Understands applicable regulations.
- Management of Focal Point Instruments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School or GED Equivalent; Some college preferred.
Work Experience: 5 years Cytology Data Entry experience, 5 years Pathology experience and 5
Transcribing experience, typing 60 wpm, 10 key by touch.
Special Requirements: Extensive Medical Terminology, practical and lab experience. Strong supervisory skills, i.e., effective communication written and verbal, professional deportment, assertive diplomacy, etc. The skills required for implementing all standard laboratory procedures. An awareness of the factors that influence test results. TBS terminology. Implement company policies and procedures at all times.
