Executive Director, Application & DevSecOps Support
Job Description
As a member of the Quest Technology senior leadership team, the Executive Director Application and DevSecOps Support will have a number of responsibilities including DevSecOps, SRE, Quality Engineering, API platform and application maintenance and production support; leading the enterprise DevSecOps practice; and leading API platform strategic enablement. The Executive Director will be responsible for working effectively across the Quest Technology Product & Service Delivery organizations including Commercial, Consumer and Operations as well as Development, Infrastructure, Release & Change Management, QA, and the PMO.
The successful candidate will lead the organization to deliver consistent support within agreed upon service levels, staffing levels and budget and provide regular status reports to management on application status and related performance metrics. The Executive Director will deal with complex and variable issues, which have significant operational impact and where multiple solution options must be considered, analyzed and validated and will manage a large team of Directors, Managers and Software Engineering professionals responsible for the successful implementation and support of solutions that drive business growth and improve operational efficiencies.
This position will be located (hybrid) in either Schaumburg, IL or Secaucus, NJ.
Pay Range: $235,000 - $270,000/year + 30% Annual Incentive Plan + Long-Term Incentive
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities:
Lead enterprise Engineering Platforms and Service including DevSecOps, API/Integration Platform, SRE, Quality Engineering (QE), and Data Masking solution Engineering, ensuring reliable and scalable delivery across all application portfolios.
Define and drive adoption of standardized engineering practices including CI/CD, IaC (infrastructure as code), security integration, and automated testing across the organization.
Establish and operationalize DevSecOps capabilities that improve developer productivity and increase deployment reliability.
Establish user control governance and standards for DevSecOps, API management and other engineering tools to ensure consistency and cost efficiency.
Manage and lead an API platform model focused on the facilitation of interactions across internal & external partners and participants by providing governance, standards and protocols to support connectivity at scale
Lead enterprise Middleware client interface strategies and solutions for ~500K external hospitals, health care systems, physicians and strategic EMR/EHR partners
Lead QA/QE practices and strategies to meet application quality and operational efficiency goals.
Build and scale Quality Engineering practices including test automation and shift-left quality across enterprise products and services.
Lead Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Performance Engineering to ensure system stability, reliability, and performance aligned to Technology Operations SLAs and SLOs goals
Partner closely with Architecture, Security, Product, and Application Engineering teams to continually improve software development and operations from an internal IT process perspective as well as from a Business Operations perspective.
Drives continuous improvement within the organization moving from reactive detection to proactive prevention of outages and disruptions impacting business operations
Manage vendor relationships and tool ecosystems and ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture strategy and cost optimization.
Develop and lead high performing engineering teams, setting clear accountability, performance expectations, and growth plans.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field is required. An advanced degree is preferred
A minimum of 12 years of software development, maintenance, and support experience
Deep knowledge of programming technologies/techniques and DevSecOps practices
A proven understanding of Software Development Lifecycle, Agile and SDLC methodologies,
Experience working across IT functional boundaries
Experience working with and establishing enduring relationships with senior business leadership teams
Experience with continuous process improvement
IT budgeting and cost management experience
Demonstrated ability to gain consensus, influence, and ensure cross-functional participation
Ability to communicate technical issues in a non-technical manner to a diverse audience
