Job Details

These are often serious decisions with far reaching consequences, and require sensitivity, tact, and a clear dedication to service. It’s about providing clarity and hope.
The Enterprise Business Development Director (BDD) reports into the VP, Emerging Markets and Enterprise Accounts. Their mission is to understand the overarching needs of complex national organizations, help define novel business models, and design multi-disciplinary business solutions. The BDD will be responsible for calling on the largest calling on aggregators and consolidators. The BDD will work cross regionally and cross-functionally. The BDD will set strategy for key customers and coordinate with cross functional teams to execute tactical plans to drive revenue and growth. Success will be quantified through opportunities identified to leverage national scale, increase relationships with private-equity partnerships, revenue growth, new business revenue streams, and stickiness through programs designed to increase attrition immunity.
This is a national position with regular travel (50%).
- Generate revenue through understanding strategic client needs and providing solutions.
- Establish and strengthen relationships including large meeting/corporate engagement planning, key opinion leader mapping, and guidelines committee members.
- Collaboration with Enterprise & regional sales teams.
- Collaboration with Quest commercial sales teams as needed including; Cardio, Enterprise, Women’s Health, Large Health Systems outreach, ACO’s to ensure multi-modal revenue streams aligned with client needs
- Conduct client needs analysis and develop and implement multi-discipline solutions in collaboration with all facets of Quest Diagnostics.
- Building value-based care offerings.
- BDD’s will adhere to established Business Acumen metrics: call frequency, pipeline sufficiency, productivity, and close metrics.
Required Work Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of successful healthcare, healthcare/private equity, and business development experience.
- High-level account management experience.
- C-Suite and Director Level network is essential.
- Contract & negotiation experience essential.
Preferred Work Experience:
- Experience negotiating with aggregators, consolidators, and private equity.
Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of Diagnostics, Capital, and Supply Chain/Logistics market knowledge and relevant high level relationships essential.
- Functional understanding of Health Plan economics and integrations.
- Business and financial acumen.
- Entrepreneurial strategies.
- Sales processes.
- National strategic account management and solution selling is required.
- Accountable Care Organization; GPO.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree Required
Master’s Degree Preferred

Virtual work options
Quest Virtual Model allows eligible Quest employees to work either a hybrid schedule (two to three days from home per workweek), a near-site schedule (primarily from home with occasional work in a Quest office), or fully remote.
