Pay Range: $84,000 - $115,000 / year

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Time and Labor Systems Analyst with experience being part of large-scale Oracle Time and Labor project from beginning to go-live phase through support. The ideal candidate will have experience utilizing, implementing, and providing payroll system support for Oracle Time and Labor system for a large scale enterprise. The Sr. Time and Labor Systems Analyst will be initially part of the Quest Core Oracle Time and Labor project team (OTL) and focused on implementing Oracle Time and Labor system. This position will report to the Sr. Payroll Systems Manager but will take direction from Payroll & OTL Leads as well as the Payroll Director. This key role will be doing Oracle Time and Labor configuration, conducting testing, documentation of testing results, and providing support where necessary pertaining to the success of the Time and Labor project. In addition, this role will work closely with the payroll team and may be involved in some payroll systems projects.

Basic Purpose:
The Sr. Time and Labor Systems Analyst main functions will be Time and Labor configuration as they work alongside our 3rd party Implementation Consultants. Building relationships and collaborate with internal/external partners. Collecting requirements for Business Requirement Documents. Creating and documenting processes for Oracle Time and Labor (OTL) functions that pertain to element creation, calculations, and various aspects of the project as assigned. Solutioning and resolving defects, recommending and implementing enhancements, performing unit and user acceptance testing, and creating change control. Also, this individual will be responsible for working with the core OTL project team to develop and update the run book for time and labor. Working alongside our consultants and lead on the payroll and time/labor configuration document. Experience creating and maintaining Oracle Time and Labor elements is a plus. 

The Sr. Time and Labor Systems Analyst requires expertise and knowledge in complex Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) for Time & Labor including the Payroll module. The incumbent should possess a high-skill level and in-depth knowledge of process flow for time and labor. This position requires the individual to have a high-level of attention to detail when working with our consultants to configure Oracle Time and Labor in lower test environments, in addition to moving the build and elements over to production. 

Once the project goes live, the Sr. Time and Labor Systems Analyst will transition and provide systems support for Oracle Time and Labor. The individual will be responsible for Oracle time and labor quarterly testing, updating the configuration and run book documents, when necessary, troubleshooting, and providing support as needed for all aspects that relate to time and labor.  This individual should be able to work independently, and ability for critical thinking/decision making.




Responsibilities:
  1. Time and Labor Configuration, working alongside Core OTL lead and 3rd Party Time and Labor consultants on pieces of the configuration build when moving to different lower environments, including production.
  2. Responsible for opening Oracle Service Request (SR’s) and tracking tickets all the way through. Following up with Oracle, and escalating SR tickets as necessary to completion.
  3. Maintains the time & labor system.  Tests all new system setups and troubleshoots issues.  Tests all requests for service related to time & labor ensuring DOL and company policy compliance.  Tests interfaces and makes process change recommendations as needed.  Works on implementation team for integrations of groups new to Oracle time & labor.  Supports time & labor reporting for finance controllers, HR, and payroll customers.
  4. Interprets, tests and implements all Oracle Cloud HCM updates as well as major system version upgrades. May develop methodology, tools and procedures to ensure integration between applications and regulations/policies. Collaborate with Payroll team in change management activities including making recommendations, creating and updating documentation and system training relative to system modifications and/or enhancements. 
  5. Prepares detailed design and programming specifications for automated payroll programs and interfaces. Provides payroll reports using ad hoc report writer product (Oracle Business Intelligence), to meet specific needs of local business units or corporate departments such as payroll operations, compensation, human resources, benefits, accounting, etc. Recommends new interfaces or programs and revisions to existing programs.  Submits and manages change requests for payroll and time & labor enhancements.
  6. Leads various projects for process improvement or new endeavors which may include outside vendors (payroll, benefits and/or HR).  Supports and/or leads the interdepartmental year-end project plan.
  7. Researches complex payroll and time & labor calculations and processing questions that may relate to garnishment processing, taxation, reversals, retro, adjustments or off-cycle check processing utilizing in depth knowledge of the systems.  May run test payrolls to duplicate issues or enlist the support of HR systems or Oracle Global support.  Recommends resolutions to the Sr. Payroll Manager or Director, Payroll. 
  8. Updates and maintains payroll related configuration and tables such as companies, pay groups, earnings, deductions, localities, taxation definitions.  Ensures proper setup for new deductions, taxes & earnings (i.e. taxation, wage reporting & benefit eligibility).
  9. Creates and updates documentation for payroll system related processes and procedures. Reviews system requirements with payroll leadership to ensure appropriate levels of knowledge are maintained and distributed.   Conducts training sessions on software or system procedures as needed.



Qualifications:

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or Human Resources or Oracle Time and Labor Certification
  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) is a plus

Required Work Experience: 

  • 4+ years or more of experience in a Human Resources, HR Technology, Payroll or Time & Labor systems role
  • 3+ years of professional experience with Oracle HCM Cloud – payroll and/or time & labor modules
