Sr. Financial Analyst (Hybrid)
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for participating in value added financial analytics to facilitate top line growth and operational efficiency. This position assists with various recurring and non-recurring projects initiated by the Regional Senior Finance Manager. This individual must be knowledgeable of general and industry specific accounting and finance practices and flexible enough to manage the more complex activities associated with analyzing financial results and the development of financial statements and corresponding reports. The successful candidate will be expected to routinely provide financial insights on the region’s performance to local leadership. The position will report to the Regional Sr. Finance Manager and collaborate with various Corporate Finance groups in addition to the broader Regional Finance team.
- Provide support related to financial reporting and month end close processes. Collaboration with Centralized Accounting, Operating Analytics, and other Corporate Functions
- Become an expert in our financial systems-Oracle/Hyperion Essbase, Smart View & PeopleSoft
- Assist in the management of QDMA Joint Venture (JV) controls. Become a SME in both Commercial and Operations aspects of the JV financials
- Integral involvement in creation of JV financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows)
- Ensure integrity of financial reporting processes. Involvement in annual SOX audit, annual external audit of JV, and various internal audits
- Provide insight & analysis with local M&A performance comparing to original deal model, volume tracking & ad-hoc requests
- Exemplify Quest Finance Competencies (Financial Acumen, Critical Thinking, Framing & Influencing)
- Other duties as assigned by Sr. Finance Manager
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA or CPA a plus
- Outstanding Excel spreadsheet skills
- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy under the pressure of month-end close
- Capable of deploying and articulating strategic solutions to prospective business challenges
- Inquisitive self-starter focused on figuring out the “why” of what drives our financial performance
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- 2-4 years of relevant work experience
The job is a hybrid position requiring being in-office 2-3 days per week. Candidate needs to be located within commute distance to Pittsburgh, PA or Marlborough, MA lab.
