Job Description
This role is responsible for collaborating with senior management and direct reports to develop and execute an operational plan for the pharma business that ensures exceptional service delivery and scalability. Directly responsible for the national Project Management operations of the Pharma business including providing leadership for day to day operations. Plans and directs operations and study management, activities for Pharma services, grounded in customer-centricity, quality, safety and process efficiency. Builds and maintains an environment that encourages employee development and retention. The successful candidate is a change agent, forward thinker and results-oriented Operations Leader with demonstrated success designing and executing strategies that yield measurable business results.
Responsibilities:
• Inspire and lead the Project Management and Study Operations organization to achieve growth
•Direct Leadership of the Study Management teams.
•Partner with Regional Business Lines, Esoteric Laboratories, Corporate Functions, and Commercial and Pharma Services Leaders to develop SCT Operations strategies to meet goals and objectives
•Execute on service delivery for Clinical Trials - testing, reporting, support, communication, TAT, etc.
•Work with leadership to ensure appropriate support is provided to business from corporate partners (IT, Finance, HR)
•Drive productivity and cost performance across all areas of responsibility
•Drive continuous improvement through Quest Management System tools
•Develop Customer informed KPI dashboard for benchmarking to drive continuous improvement toward excellence
•Manage assets and staffing
•Retain and develop talent while managing the development leadership process within the business
•Build an inspiring culture
•Evaluate the performance of the SCT operations team and provide positive and constructive feedback
•Fully participate in succession planning and lead applicable actions
•Ensure effective and continuous communication up and down within the SCT business
•Partner with IT to drive system development that supports SCT growth strategies
Qualifications:
Required Work Experience:
•Proven operations and process leadership experience across multiple functional areas; Ability to lead in a matrix structure to achieve business goals; demonstrated financial acumen and experience developing and operating a capital budget
Preferred Work Experience:
•Clinical Trial/Diagnostics Development Operations experience preferred.
In depth knowledge of GCP and Clinical Research
Prior experience in a Contract Research Organization

•Strategic thinker who can work collaboratively to identify and resolve technical, operational and organizational challenges
•Proven track record attracting and developing talent both within and outside direct team; ability to communicate clearly and effectively to direct and motivate team and others
•Ability to operate effectively in a complex environment and manage multiple stake holders while adapting appropriately to shorter-term challenges, opportunities and priorities
•Demonstrated ability to drive solutions through business cases that clearly define project structure, budget, resource requirements, approach, and work plan
•Makes decisions that drive significant organizational change on national scale; ability to influence others outside direct control
•Uses interpersonal skills to influence, negotiate and communicate across all levels of the organization; ability to influence those outside of direct control to achieve overall business goals; Exceptional communication skills and professional presence

- BS or BA from an accredited university
