Job Description
The Executive Sales Director, Clinical Oncology is the front-line sales leader responsible for execution of the commercial strategy for profitable growth in geographic area for specialized sales and service representatives. The successful candidate will manage a team of ~10 Account Executives in the specialties of Oncology, Molecular Oncology, Pathology and Dermatopathology.
The Executive Sales Director will be managing a geography that encompasses several states in the Southwest, Southeast and Lower Midwest geographies.The Texas market is a significant focal point, and the Executive Sales Director must be located in Texas.
Responsibilities:
Attain regional goals for Oncology channel by specialty
Hire, train, and retain an effective sales team
Coach, motivate, and develop sales talent
Establish regional action plans and market strategies
Set metrics and accountability standards to drive performance towards goals
Manage and measure sales force performance and provide feedback to reps
Incorporate district analytics and market intelligence into plans
Facilitate problem solving and customer satisfaction
Support key account development and collaborate on large deals
Provide input to regional marketing plans
Own functional strategic initiatives
Achievement of regional Oncology revenue budget
Execution of sales strategy
Client retention
Price realization
Selling costs to budget
Sales force engagement, retention and development
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in a Business or Science-related field is required
A minimum of five years of healthcare sales management experience is required, specifically with the ability to manage Oncology sales teams with the following call points:
Anatomic Pathology Account Executives (APAE) – surgery centers, endoscopy centers, support of AmeriPath practices and clinical business at the call point
Oncology Genomics Account Executives (OGAE) – community-based cancer centers, community oncologists, HemeOnc, USON/TOPA
Derm Account Executives (DAE) - Dermatologist, Podiatrist
Oncology Account Managers (OAM) – account managers
Demonstrated success operating in a collaborative and effective manner in a matrixed organization
Demonstrated knowledge of sales processes
Demonstrated success operating in a collaborative and effective manner in a matrixed organization

Virtual work options
Quest Virtual Model allows eligible Quest employees to work either a hybrid schedule (two to three days from home per workweek), a near-site schedule (primarily from home with occasional work in a Quest office), or fully remote.
