Job Details
Reporting to and National Business Development Executive Sales Director, the Oncology Key Account Manageris responsible for account management, retention and growth for an assigned key account(s) in the Oncology specialty.
This is a field based role. The territory encompasses all of Indiana and Chicago, IL.
- Drive sales growth in assigned regional oncology account through targeting new sales opportunities, identifying and closing potential leakage opportunities.
- Ensures customer retention by developing relationships with personnel at multiple levels of the account including decision-makers, c-suite and other key stakeholders.
- Conduct regular business reviews of service delivery to include logistics, supplies, testing and billing to identify gaps in service.
- Participate with regional sales leaders in developing business plans and value propositions to increase revenue, volume and profitability in assigned account.
- Profile new tests and service offerings.
- Add tests to account EMR and workflows
- Educate key medical and account personnel on all processes and procedures including the test order process to ensure accurate and timely transactions.
- Implements fee increases or price changes; enforces contract compliance.
- Provide immediate support for less complex service issues; refer to appropriate resource (e.g.: Customer Solutions) for more complex issues and then follow-up on resolution.
- Maintain knowledge on all connectivity products (e.g.: Quanum, e-reqs) and new tests.
- Work in a matrix environment to drive growth through resources, service, medical and operations.
- Ensures compliance with company polices and government regulations.
- Accurately forecast monthly and quarterly revenue
- Decision-maker and disease specific committee account mapping
- Quarterly business review
- Effectively manage pipeline via Salesforce.com (SFDC) platform
- Complete administrative responsibilities, such as, expense reports, sales reports, and other business requests.
- Complete all trainings within assigned timelines, demonstrating proficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company polices and government regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Work Experience:
- Five (5) years of national and or regional large/corporate account management experience in diagnostics, lab and or biotech
- Three (3) years of healthcare sales in oncology diagnostics, precision medicine, lab, and or biotech
Preferred Work Experience:
- National/Regional Account Management for an Oncology diagnostic and or biotech company.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Significant walking in client’s facilities; substantial time on laptop computer and in online meetings.
Knowledge:
- Reference laboratory business, Oncology and esoteric tests
- Healthcare industry, payors and regulations
- Account management and service delivery
- Sales principles and processes

Virtual work options
Quest Virtual Model allows eligible Quest employees to work either a hybrid schedule (two to three days from home per workweek), a near-site schedule (primarily from home with occasional work in a Quest office), or fully remote.
