Manager Human Resources Strategy & Innovation- Secaucus, New Jersey

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Strategy & Innovation Manager reports to the Senior Director of HR Strategy and Innovation, based at the Company’s Secaucus, NJ office.  This role will support the development and execution of the Human Resources Strategic Plan (three-year plan that will serve as the blueprint for the HR organization to serve the Quest’s Strategic Business Plan) as well as alignment and successful implementation of key strategic initiatives. This role will work closely with the HR Leadership Team and other key stakeholders to execute the HR Strategic Plan and maintain it as the needs of the business evolve. This role will research best practices adopted by other companies, HR professional/research organizations and academia and recommend best ideas and innovations (skills, process and technology). S/He will work with the Quality Management System (QMS) team to establish implementation plans and monitor progress to ensure success.   

 

Key Accountabilities include:

Strategy, Planning and Execution

•         Partners effectively with the Human Resources Leadership Team and other stakeholders to drive successful execution of the HR Strategic Plan and key initiatives in areas of on-boarding, career development, learning, and talent management

•         Provides reporting on the execution of the HR Strategic Plan, key initiatives, and Change Management strategies

•         Works closely with COE leaders, HRBPs and other stakeholders to develop, maintain and report on key metrics; measures performance of the HR Strategic Plan

•         Documents and maintains a comprehensive list of key HR initiatives across all businesses, identifies redundancies and conflicts, and makes recommendations for better alignment

•         Develops detailed work plans and frameworks to execute the Human Resources Strategic Plan; identifies potential risks and develops mitigation strategies; ensures appropriate resource planning and monitors progress

•         Provides daily support in managing change as part of key initiatives

 

Innovation and Business Relationships

•         Has a solid understanding of current and future business trends, both internal and external, and their implications for Human Capital Management strategies

•         Identifies opportunities and develops recommendations for leveraging technology solutions to enable key HR processes and improve candidate and employee experience

•         Builds and maintains relationships with organizations and networks that are thought leaders in HR and Human Capital Management, attends relevant conferences, and identifies and recommends best practices

Business Based Outcomes

•         Identifies relevant business measures such as productivity, quality, employee engagement and Voice of the Customer metrics to drive toward strong organizational performance 

•         Supports the HR team in creating a high performance work environment that makes the organization a great place to work

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have the following attributes and/or experiences:

•         5-7 years of professional experience in corporate Human Resources and/or HR consulting, including experience supporting or driving HR transformation, HR strategy development and execution, and implementation of strategic initiatives

•         Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required, with a major in HR, Organizational Design, Psychology, or related discipline preferred

•         Expertise in HR functions, including organizational effectiveness, learning & development, HR technology/systems, and workforce analytics

•         Experience with selection, implementation and upgrades of HR technologies such as PeopleSoft, Oracle, Workday, SuccessFactors, Cornerstone, and others

•         Knowledge of Project Management methodologies and tools, and experience managing enterprise wide projects

•         Experience developing and implementing Change Management and Communication strategies and plans to drive end-user adoption of significant organization changes

•         Experience with professional organizations, consulting firms and academia focused on Human Resources expertise and best practices

•         Proficiency in MS Office products, HR systems (including Cloud technologies) and experience in leveraging technology and data analytics
