Data Entry Operator I - Tampa, FL - Monday - Friday 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM
Responsible for data entering all patient and specimen information into the laboratory information system.
Pay Range: $17.20+ per hour; Employee may be eligible to receive shift differential of 10% for some or all hours worked on second shift and 15% for some or all hours worked on third shift. Additional details on shift differential will be provided if an offer is extended.
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

- Verifies requisitions for completeness of patient and client information.
- Accurately enters all patient and specimen information into laboratory information system (patient name, location, site, etc.).
- Pulls orders when applicable for Clients that use bidirectional interface.
- Responsible for verifying patient names in Navinet/Emdeon (or other approved internet sites) for all cases that do not have insurance cards attached, as well as verifying illegible names.
- Provides copies of illegible information or missing data to Client Services to contact Client.
- May participate in training of new staff members.
- Understand and follow all applicable standard operating procedures for job-related responsibilities.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Work Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum typing speed 40 WPM or equivalent 1 year work experience
Preferred Work Experience:
- Medical terminology
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Requires full range of body motion including manual finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination
- Sitting for extended periods of time
- May require lifting and carrying items up to 20 pounds
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of word processing software
- Knowledge of Navinet and Emdeon systems
Skills:
- Skills in written and oral communication

High School Diploma or Equivalent(Required)
