The base salary range for this position is from $300,000 - $350,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

GI Pathologist – Shelton, CT

AmeriPath is a leading national provider of anatomic pathology, molecular diagnostic and healthcare information services for the detection, diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of cancer and other medical conditions. AmeriPath has over 400 highly trained, board-certified pathologists and Ph.D.-level scientists providing services to physicians, hospitals, clinical laboratories and ambulatory surgery centers across the United States.


AmeriPath is currently seeking a GI Pathologist for our AmeriPath Northeast growing laboratory in Shelton, CT. This position will be responsible for GI case sign out as part of the greater Quest Diagnostics Esoteric Business Unit.

There are currently four experienced GI pathologists that sit in Shelton. The new pathologist will be reporting directly to the Managing Director.


  • Required: MD or DO degree
  • Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology and/or AP/CP
  • Fellowship trained in GI pathology
  • Strong customer focus and understanding of laboratory operations
  • Ability to communicate with decision makers in the laboratory and Company
  • Must hold or be able to obtain valid unrestricted license to practice medicine in Connecticut and ability to obtain other state licenses as needed.
