Job Description


The Change Management internship provides a graduate student with an opportunity to work with the Organization Development (OD) & Change Management team to support the implementation of organizational change management (OCM) services and programs to enable Quest Diagnostics employees to strengthen their change agility and leverage high performance behaviors to achieve and sustain desired business results.  

This position reports to the Director, Organization Development & Change Management, and is part of the Organizational Effectiveness & Belonging Center of Excellence (OE&B COE) within the Human Resources function.

This position is part-time, ~16-24 hours/week, and should be near-site to the Secaucus, NJ HQ office and is expected to work core business hours and on-site at least 1 day per week. 

This internship will extend through the spring 2026 with the potential for internship extension or career placement, dependent on the needs of the business.

Pay Range: $28.00-29.00/ hour

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.




Responsibilities:

This internship focuses on implementation and continuous improvement of Quest’s organizational change management training content and programs, while also positioning the intern to collaborate across teams to support various initiatives aimed at enhancing change capabilities of Quest employees.

  • Support OD & Change Management team in the management, implementation, and advocacy of OCM strategy, tools, and resources to strengthen the enterprise-wide change capability and agility of the Quest organization
  • Provide ideas for new/evolving OCM content/topics 
  • Maintain the OCM Community site on SharePoint
  • Review and design resources/collateral to help expand the department branding and promotion of OCM offerings
  • Support OCM Certified Facilitators with workshops and presentations; including producing/co-facilitating ILT workshops
  • Shadow Director, OD & Change Management and other key change advisers during projects, taking on delegated roles
  • Participate and lead meetings with key partners
  • Support tracking of appropriate tools and metrics on the results and organizational impact of OCM services and programs 
  • Provide analytical insight and measurement for programs
  • Collaborate with other OE&B COE and HR team members
  • Provide insight and perspective on internal efficiencies
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the OCM team/OE&B COE, graduate program expectations, and development goals of the OCM intern



Qualifications:

To be eligible for consideration, students must meet the following qualifications by the start date of the program:

  • Must be enrolled in a graduate degree program in business or a related field

    • Examples: Business Administration, Human Resources, Industrial/ Organizational Psychology, Organizational Leadership, or Organization Development

Physical and Mental Requirements: 

  • Must be able to operate a computer sitting or standing for long periods of time, including being on camera and hosting virtual meetings.

Knowledge

  • Demonstrated understanding of change management or continuous improvement tools and practices.

Skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft suite products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint strongly preferred

  • Highly organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment

  • Proven ability to collaborate across teams as well as work independently

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to learn quickly, demonstrate curiosity and willingness to learn
