Purchasing Operations Lead (Remote)
Responsible for high profile Corporate Service PO program and multiple day-to-day workflows of the Purchasing Shared Services Operations team. The Operations Lead will work to continuously improve purchasing processes, improve team performance to key service metrics, and perform analytics and reporting for any of our programs or processes.
• Responsible for the management of multiple annual corporate service purchase orders for designated program suppliers. This includes the annual renewal process and additional activity such as additions, updates, or removals, throughout the year. Program management includes maintaining SharePoint program files and the requirement to meet financial audit requirements. The Operations Lead will work cross-functionally and with our suppliers to meet the goals of this program.
• Support Shared Services Director by providing insights, recommending, driving and installing solutions to obtain continuous improvement in our programs and processes.
• Perform analytics and deliver reporting for our key metrics, support SOX and internal audit requests.
• Serve as workflow Lead and PeopleSoft SME for PO issues, questions and escalations, PO updates, PO template activity, and for any questions related to new suppliers, supplier updates, invoice exception management, and customer service inquiries.
• Collaborate with offshore and onshore Leads, procurement department team members, business unit stakeholders, and supporting functions to achieve Purchasing Shared Services team goals.
• Coordinate and resolve workflow escalations and inquiries from other members of the Purchasing Shared Services team (both onshore and offshore). Assist and guide the offshore team with resolution of purchasing payment discrepancies and in achieving first pass match & aged invoice targets & goals.
• Review and process new supplier requests and coordinate with accounts payable team for adding and updating supplier data records.
• Create and maintain SOPs, Work Instructions and other Purchasing Shared Services’ process documentation.
• Train onshore and offshore teams in process workflows and present program materials and information to stakeholders.
• Assist with offshore purchasing responsibilities, including offshore holiday support for PO processing.
• Meet & exceed stakeholder-driven service standards, by providing excellent customer service in every regard.
• Any other duties or initiatives to support the Purchasing Shared Services team or department, as assigned.
Required Work Experience:
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in purchasing or supply management field, preferably for a healthcare or diagnostics company, knowledge of services’ purchasing is desirable.
• Demonstrated business acumen, CPSM or comparable credential a plus.
Preferred Work Experience:
• Experience leading projects or teams, specifically managing call center or customer service activities preferred.

Knowledge:
• PeopleSoft or other ERP system experience (SAP, Ariba, Oracle, for example)
• Office 365 proficiency, including Outlook, Excel, Power Point, and Word
• Knowledge of the P2P process, purchasing systems and materials management processes.

Education:
• BA/BS in business, supply management, or the equivalent in education and experience.
Professional Training, Education or Licensing Preferred:
CPSM
Advanced degree (MBA/MS)
