Billing Representative II - West Norriton, PA, Monday to Friday, 7:00AM - 3:30PM Eastern
This position is primarily in office, 2 days a week with the ability to work from home 3 days. However, you must be available to go into the office as needed for training, meetings, etc., depending on business needs. Preferred telecommute location that is within 1 hour travel time from an office location.
As a Billing Representative – Third Party you’ll play a critical role in creating a quality experience that impacts the financial well-being of our patients. You’ll be the expert problem solver as you work to quickly identify, analyze and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment. If selected for this position, it is required that you successfully complete the Quest Diagnostics new hire training and demonstrate proficiency to continue in the role.
Pay range: $18.39+/hr
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

In an environment where the patient is at the center of everything that we do the individuals in this position typically works with Billing Representatives and other employees handling complex billing issues for the purpose of collecting revenue for the organization. Will work with Patient, Client and/or Third Party insurance bills.
Responsibilities:
- Open and sort all incoming mail
- Communicate with team members and leadership effectively
- Print and mail out all third party and patient refund checks generated by team members along with documentation saved in the refund database.
- Document all return mail information including bill numbers and post bad address denials to claims.
- Processing changes to bill from Client to insurance.
- Pull and send invoices to clients when requested – may involve calling client offices to obtain information.
- Working E invoice inactive or return mail by calling clients to find a correct address and updating that in QBS
- Processing billing adjustments in QBS and WBS
- Must comply with departmental Business Rules and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Interprets explanation of benefits for appropriate follow up action.
- Utilizes automation tools to verify eligibility, claim status and/or to obtain better billing information.
- Communicates and collaborates with members or providers to evaluate claims errors/issues, using clear, simple language to ensure understanding.
- Conducts data entry and re-work for adjudication of claims.
- Works on various other projects as needed.
- Meets the performance goals established for the position in the areas of: efficiency, accuracy, quality, patient and client satisfaction and attendance.
- This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday – Friday. It may be necessary to work occasional overtime and/or weekends or holidays.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrated ability using computer and Windows PC applications, such as Outlook, Excel, instant message, video conferencing.
- Strong keyboard and navigation skills and ability to learn new computer programs
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Must live in a location that can receive a Quest approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous work experience in a fast-paced environment requiring strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
