Sr. Regional Finance Manager, Southeast (Hybrid)

Job Description

The Sr. Regional Finance Manager, Southeast is responsible for driving enhancements to profitability and sound management of Regional business investments and capital deployment, while working with the Regional Finance Executive Director and in partnership with the regional leadership team. Position will routinely provide business insights on region's financial performance to regional leadership. Although aligned with a Region, may be responsible for national initiatives on cost improvement or capital investment decisions at the direction of the Executive Director, Finance.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure integrity of financial reporting processes

• Analyze financial and operational reports, and interface with field and Operations Excellence on local cost improvement plans

• Acts as primary interface with centralized accounting and other corporate functions

• Support monthly outlook and annual budget process

• Regional support for M&A activities

• Productivity performance by department and function with a strong business partnership to Lab Operations

• Productivity and Expense Trending – providing insights and driving actions on opportunities for improvement

• Analyze Supply and Lab Sub performance, including cost and test menu analysis

• Extensive involvement with FP&A in capital deployment activity, including: Capital Spend monitoring and budgeting, investment look-back analysis, ROI and NPV calculations for prioritization of capital projects

• Interface with Operations Excellence and Business Transformation team in the validation of monthly Invigorate Reporting and support of strategic projects in partnership to Regional Operations Leadership

• Provide FP&A with financial forecast of cost improvement initiatives, based on acquired

business insights from Regional Operations Leadership Team

• Interface with Corp Planning and Analysis group

• Internal Control Oversight

• SOX Testing for financial controls and others as identified

• Physical Inventory, including Supplies and Asset management

• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education: 

• Bachelor's Degree Finance or Accounting Required

• Master's Degree MBA and/or CPA strongly preferred

Required Work Experince:

• 7+ years experience of professional accounting/finance experience and business partnering
