Sr. Contract Specialist
Job Description
Sr. Contract Specialist - Secaucus, NJ, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Coordinate all contract preparation activities related to the Contract Administration Centers of Excellence component of the contracting process from opportunity identification through contract execution and reporting, utilizing Salesforce.com, Apttus and DocuSign web-based applications to assist with those efforts. Drive system and process compliance, controls and standardization for high-volume and high-risk customers to include: Health Plans, Integrated/Independent Physician Associations, Nationwide Accounts, Health Systems, Accountable Care Organizations, and other laboratories, managing profitable and meaningful changes in the company. Manage system development activities for applications that support the contracting process. Work cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Commercial Technology, Clinical Franchises, and regional commercial representatives to develop, implement and drive contract administration compliance and standardization.
Pay range: Minimum $95,000 – Maximum $115,000
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities:
Basic Purpose:
Coordinate all contract preparation activities related to the Commercial Contracting Centers of Excellence component of the contracting process from receipt of a contract request through contract execution, utilizing SalesForce.com, Apttus/Conga, and eSignature web-based applications to assist with those efforts. Drive system and contracting process compliance, controls, and standardization for a variety of agreement and customer types to include health care providers, hospitals/health systems, vendors, and clinical reference laboratories, to support regional/esoteric business units, enterprise accounts, and select franchise arrangements. Manage system development activities for applications that support the contracting process. Work cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Commercial Technology, Clinical Franchises, and regional commercial representatives to develop, implement and drive contract process compliance and standardization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Process and manage contract requests through the approval process, agreement drafting and negotiation process, and follow through to agreement execution and post-execution notification processes.
Oversee complex and/or nuanced agreements that require additional support and oversight due to complexities or strategic engagement.
Complete contract terms and conditions reviews for request for proposals (RPFs) in partnership with the RFP Response Team.
Develop and implement strategy, process improvements, and criteria for system applications utilized within the Commercial Contracting Team (i.e., Apttus/Conga, SFDC, SmartSheet, SharePoint, eSignature tools)
Assist with system administration activities within the contracting related systems and other partnered applications
Support and assist the Contract Extended Support Team’s inquiries and training
Assist with administration of the Quality Control (QC) process
Partner with Sr. Manager Commercial Contracting to facilitate and host training internal customers and business partners on the Commercial Contracting processes and procedures
Create and distribute reporting to internal stakeholders regarding Commercial Contracting activity or ad hoc reports as assigned
Participate in scheduled audits and provide requested deliverables that support contract system and process compliance in accordance with company standards
Create and update SOPs and playbooks to ensure that processes are aligned with the Centers of Excellence key business objectives.
- Work cross-functionally with Commercial Leadership, Legal, Franchises, Regions, Esoteric laboratories, and other internal resources to drive Commercial Contracting Centers of Excellence
- Other duties as assigned
