Sr. Analyst, Telecom Billing
Job Description
The individual will be responsible for telecom billing for specialty Telecom services which include cellular services, data and voice services. This will include processing bills in a timely fashion, reviewing month-to-month changes, providing insight, and developing a strong governance to manage telecom spend. The individual needs to consolidate the monthly telecom bills and manage using our TEM (Telecom Expense Management) tool. The individual will develop a process to order/cancel services on a regular basis. They will also need to have access to the carrier portals and understand the monthly spend. The individual will need to develop a standard enterprise process and communicate the change to the Enterprise. They will need to publish monthly metrics, optimize the spend, and provide insight to our management team on a regular basis. The individual will also need to audit the bills for accuracy and manage the overall Accounts Receivables.
The Telecom Billing Analyst (Sr.) will manage telecom billing for specialty services. This will include continuing to utilize our current TEM (Telecom Expense Management) tool to manage the inventory and pay the invoices in a timely fashion. The new resource will provide guidance to the functional areas of Quest during the month end close and provide insight to the Management team. The individual needs to have strong communication skills and be able to build a relationship with the Finance, TechOps, Field IT, Carriers, Commercial and Logistics departments. The resource will also need to build and maintain a new process to order/disconnect services. The individual will need to have a strong cellular background and the ability to manage a large telecom spend.
Responsibilities:
- Consolidate Telecom billing (migrate to one billing platform)
- Publish monthly telecom metrics at the regional level
- Develop and maintain the process to Order/Disconnect new services (circuits) using TEM
- Retire current telecom database (QTR-Quest Telecom Repository)
- Work closely with the field to understand Technology deployment
- Develop strong relationships (Carriers, Field IT, Commercial, Logistics
Qualifications:
Education: BS in Computer Science, business, or equivalent experience.
Work Experience:
- 5-7 Years related work experience
- Strong cellular experience
- Strong Communication skills
- Experience using a TEM (Telecom Expense Management) tool
- Managed Telecom billing for a large Enterprise
- Strong skills in the use of Microsoft desktop tools (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
