Job Description
Pay Range: $96,000 - $120,000 / year
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

The business development analyst is responsible for generating business and financial analysis for the purpose of supporting the PLS (Professional Lab Services) business. This individual will be responsible for understanding various data points and creating deal analysis under the direction of the Director, BD. The BD Analyst will be able to work independently to create models and within a team environment to meet customer requirements and deadlines. This individual will be able to prepare summary documentation and PowerPoint presentation (as needed) to be presented to PLS leaders. The BD Analyst will assist in developing strategies and tools to be used in evaluating PLS opportunities.
The position also supports the Director of Customer Solutions in regard to all PLS business analysis for existing customers. Works with Director of Customer Solutions to develop plan to upsell current customers, expand margins and execute the contract.
Responsibilities:
Generate and manipulate data provided by internal and external customers and organize into PLS operational and profitability analysis
Interact with Finance team to validate business development model and key assumptions
Responsible for data collection, data organizing and financial model preparation working with PLS Sales, Operations and Finance teams
Prepare analysis for business and financial review with PLS BD Director and the remainder of management team as needed
Perform on-site due diligence alongside PLS Operations team
On-going enhancement/improvement of financial modeling templates under the purview of PLS BD Director and PLS Finance leadership
Work with Director of Customer solutions to identify opportunities to upsell current customers with new PLS offerings and solutions
Research current customer concerns in support and work with PLS and regional team to drive to resolution
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred
Required Work Experience:
3-6 years of experience in finance, sales/marketing and lab industry or related healthcare field with a focus on pricing strategies, establishing market value, customer satisfaction and driving profitable growth
Knowledge:
- Organizational Awareness to gain information for research and analysis from multiple sources within the organization, knowing who controls what information and develop communication channels with them
- Strong analytical background, including a solid grasp of tools (spreadsheet, statistical method for analyzing data)
Skills:
- Organized and can manage multiple priorities simultaneously and must be able to communicate effectively to PLS senior leadership
- Strong interpersonal skills the possess intellectual integrity and personal trustworthiness that generates trust among directors from multiple functions
- Excellent persuasive written and oral communication skills
- Strong planning and organization skills
- Strong PC skills required
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and create scenarios of alternative outcomes to make reasonable judgments about the implications of pricing decisions based on limited and imperfect information
- Capable of managing multiple priorities for multiple customers
- Ability to interact confidently with all levels of employees including Senior Management
- Team oriented
- Ability to work independently and drive projects to conclusion
