As a key member of the Communications department, the Senior Manager, Executive Communications will be both strategist and storyteller. The role will work alongside senior executives and the communications leadership team to develop and execute approaches that support the company’s corporate narrative and use leader voices to articulate the company story and strategy across internal and external channels and venues. This position will be a student of the business and the craft, collaborating with agility and creativity across the company and the communications community of practice to deliver impactful messages and innovative ideas to continuously enhance our work as the caretakers of the company voice.
This is a hybrid position based in our Secaucus, NJ location (3 days per week in-office).
Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with Sr. Director, Executive Communications in curating opportunities to showcase and advance company narrative including identifying speaking engagements, social media, thought leadership, and other opportunities.
- Develop and execute communications materials that reinforce company narrative, strategy, and growth initiatives.
- Work with senior executives, business teams, and communications teams to develop compelling messages and materials customized for specific internal and external audiences, including customers, investors, and employees.
- Serve as a trusted adviser and partner to senior executives, business stakeholders, and communications peers, sharing communications counsel, best practices, and new ideas for storytelling opportunities and communications tactics.
- Lead communications campaigns that align efforts across internal, regional, and external communications for strategic announcements and activities.
- Collaborate with External Communications, Internal Communications, Social Media and Marketing teams on cohesive channel strategy and campaigns, maintaining a common calendar of activities to maximize timeliness, visibility, and utility of messages.
Qualifications:
Required Work Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in corporate communications strategy and execution, including a few years of experience supporting senior executives.
- Experience in healthcare, biotechnology, or regulated industries preferred
Skills:
- Exceptional storytelling across written, visual, and verbal media, with ability to hone persuasive, engaging messages for internal and external audiences across presentations, speeches, thought leadership, social media, and other formats.
- Demonstrated ability to move fluidly through both strategic communication ideation and thoughtful, structured execution aligned to specific executive needs and voices.
- Highly effective ‘student of the business’ with track record of building strategy and business acumen and mining stories aligned to specific strategic objectives.
- Deeply collaborative across levels and reporting lines, and experienced in guiding senior leaders on messaging, tone, and voice.
- Proactive, creative, and self-directing in style, with ability to manage multiple priorities of varying scope and complexity and comfort with both working independently and with manager/part of a larger cross-functional team.

Travel Required:
- Domestic travel as needed up to 25%.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
Pay Range: ~$140,000 -- $170,000 / year
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.
