Senior Manager - ABM Product Owner
Job Description
The Senior Manager, ABM Product Owner leads the governance, integrations, and optimization of Demandbase as the core account based marketing (ABM) platform for the organization. This role is responsible for maximizing the company’s investment in Demandbase by ensuring platform efficiency, data quality, systems integrations, governance enforcement, and the road mapping and implementation of future ABM capabilities.
As the product owner for ABM, this role drives platform governance, best practice utilization, usage scoping, and data quality management in the platform. This includes planning and managing integrations with systems like Salesforce Sales Cloud, Eloqua, AEM, Mixpanel, and others. The Sr. Manager will manage cross-functional partnerships with colleagues in Marketing, Commercial, Technology, and others throughout the organization, as well as third-party resources. This role manages the vendor and vendor support relationship with Demandbase.
The Product Owner will also collaborate with Marketing peers to ensure that campaign strategy best leverages Demandbase and is continually optimized based on campaign KPIs. Additionally, they will partner on strategies, analysis, planning, and execution support of customer digital strategies for ABM campaigns.
This is a hybrid position based in Secaucus, NJ (3 days in office).
Responsibilities:
- Function as the primary administrator and product owner of the company’s ABM platform.
- Develop and manage the governance policies for the use of ABM platforms, including training, user management, and system access rules.
- Lead new user and new feature training sessions online and in-person.
- Develop a deep understanding of the company’s ABM campaigns, data needs, and usage requirements to ensure the ABM platform is meeting the needs of marketers and the broader organization.
- Leverage intent data, firmographics, and behavioral insights to create highly targeted datasets in support of multi-channel campaigns.
- Develop an understanding of organizational data in order to segment campaigns for appropriate target audiences. Maintain data hygiene, governance, and reporting best practices for ABM program success tracking.
- Guide and mentor possible direct reports and cross functional resources on ABM and marketing automation strategies, analysis, planning, and execution.
- Provide regular and ad hoc communications to senior management regarding projects, updates, etc.
- Lead vendor negotiations and partnership development, ensuring that the ABM platform remains cost-effective and optimized for the business.
Accountabilities/ Metrics
- Execute projects on time as scheduled.
- Successful support of customer digital strategies for ABM campaigns.
- Manage and maintain the current implementation of Demandbase, bringing platform governance and management from customer marketing team into Digital Marketing team.
- Partner with IT, Legal, and Marketing to ensure platforms are secure, scalable, and optimized for business needs.
- Lead cross-platform initiatives and integrations, including taxonomy, tagging, user access, and data flow.
- Customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Required Work Experience:
- 7+ years’ experience in digital marketing, with a focus on managing marketing automation, CRM, and ABM platforms.
Preferred Work Experience:
- Certification in ABM, Marketing Automation and associated platforms is a plus
Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of digital marketing channels, optimal marketing technology use, and use cases.
- Knowledge of website content management systems (CMS) is a plus.
- Experience developing audience and persona profiles for campaign targeting.
- Understanding of current privacy regulations and their impact to marketing technology use.
- Certification in ABM and associated platforms is a plus.
Skills:
- Fully proficient with various software programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
