The Senior Director, Executive Communications serves as the strategic voice and primary advisor to the executive leadership team, particularly the CEO, crafting and delivering high-impact communications that advance the organization’s goals, enhance its reputation, support change management initiatives and ensure alignment with corporate messaging and brand identity. This role reports to the Chief Marketing & Communications Officer and will be responsible for developing executive communications strategies, managing speaker’s bureaus, overseeing internal and external messaging, and establishing a strong thought leadership presence for Quest’s executives across multiple platforms.


Executive Messaging and Strategy:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive executive communications strategy that aligns with business objectives, enhances the company’s brand, and positions Quest’s executive leadership as industry thought leaders.
  • Craft speeches, presentations, talking points, scripts, and other content for the CEO and other senior leaders, tailoring messaging to target audiences and communication channels.
  • Oversee the development of consistent, clear, and compelling messaging that communicates the organization’s strategy, purpose and values.

Thought Leadership and Brand Positioning:

  • Collaborate with Quest executives to establish and expand their thought leadership presence, including proactive outreach for speaking engagements, media interviews, and participation in industry events.
  • Develop and manage a thought leadership/speaker’s bureau plan for Quest executive leadership across digital and traditional media channels, including social media, to enhance brand awareness and credibility.
  • Work closely with Marketing and External Communications teams to ensure brand consistency and optimize brand positioning in executive communications.

Media and Investor communications:

  • Partner with the Media and Investor relations teams to prepare executives for interviews and ensuring consistency in public messaging.
  • Develop responses and strategies for handling high-profile, sensitive, or crisis communications, ensuring a proactive approach to protecting and enhancing the organization’s reputation.

Internal Communications:

  • Lead the creation and execution of internal communication initiatives for the executive team to foster employee engagement, support change management and promote a strong corporate culture.
  • Collaborate with HR and the internal communications team to develop and deliver communications that align with the organization’s values and promote employee morale and retention.
  • Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of internal executive communications and recommend improvements as needed.

Content Development and Social Media:

  • Partner with the Digital Marketing team to oversee executive social media accounts, curating and posting content that reflects the brand’s voice, values, and goals while engaging key stakeholders.
  • Track and report on content performance to optimize engagement and refine communication strategies.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field is required; Master's degree is preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or executive communications, with a proven track record of success in supporting senior executives 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Products, and Outlook

Skills:

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills, with experience crafting messages for a range of audiences and platforms.
  • Strong understanding of digital media, social media strategy, and public relations best practices.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information and work under tight deadlines, demonstrating sound judgment, ability to be adaptable, and a proactive approach.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization
