Job Description


The Cogito project manager (CPM) is responsible for the overall success of analytics and for coordinating analytics tasks across all applications. 




Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing and coordinating the triage of analytics needs and the corresponding build 
  • Setting overall build, security, and data segregation strategies 
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining an enterprise-wide Cogito security policy 
  • Working with analyst sponsors to stand up and facilitate your data governance committee
  • Establishing and enforcing processes, including request, triage, prioritization, testing, publishing, and validating data requests 
  • Facilitating application and Cogito team communication to close gaps 
  • Coordinating with the training team to ensure end-user comfort and happiness with data and tools 
  • Establishing a process for use of the Analytics Catalog and request tracker 
  • Identifying and managing the scope of the reporting implementation 
  • Driving the analytics implementation to meet organizational goals and initiatives 
  • Measuring ongoing success of analytics after go-live and making necessary adjustments 
  • Monitoring Cogito team productivity and performance 
  • Reviewing upgrade documentation related to analytics tools and content and determining how to implement, disseminate, and train the changes 
  • Assisting the Business Intelligence Developers in identifying the right solution for each request



Qualifications:

Required:

  • Deep Cogito Suite knowledge 
  • Advanced SQL proficiency including ability to write, optimize and troubleshoot complex SQL queries against Epic’s relational and data warehouse database e.g. Clarity and Caboodle
  • 3-5 years of direct managerial leading a team of analysts, report writers, or Business Intelligence Analysts
  • Extensive experience in leading complex technical data into clear, actionable business insights for senior leadership
  • 7 years' experience in healthcare IT, data analytics or reporting with significant portion focused in Epic

Preferred:

  • Experience establishing and enforcing data governance policies, including security, data segregation strategies
  • Experience contributing to or defining the overall enterprise analytics strategy ensuring Cogito solutions align with organizational KPIs and strategic goals
  • Experience with underlying infrastructure eg Microsoft Azure, GCP, AWS
  • Experience with advanced analytics concepts, machine learning, or predictive modeling
  • Worked within Agile environment

Work Environment:

  • Work requires handling light and simple weight material and equipment. Visual activity requires the ability to tolerate prolonged periods of close computer screens.  Work requires speed, accuracy and adeptness to operate in system application. Fast-paced work environment.  After hours, weekend and holiday work will occasionally be required as determined by the Application Mgr to support software/hardware patches, upgrades, downtimes and potential disasters. 

Travel Required:

  • Domestic travel up to 25%.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Required Technical Training or Professional Licensing:

  • Cogito Certification and Cogito Suite including Reporting Workbench, Radar/Dashboards and SlicerDicer

Preferred Technical Training or Professional Licensing:

  • Cogito Project Manager training track 
  • Cogito Tools Administration if the CPM will be the primary or secondary person responsible for system maintenance of Cogito
  • SAFe Agile or Scrum certification
