The Marketing Manager, Performance Media is a seasoned professional responsible for leading and optimizing paid search campaigns primarily on Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, with additional focus on other channels as needed, such as Paid Social and Programmatic Display. This role demands advanced analytical skills, exceptional communication abilities, and hands-on experience in managing media both in-house and through agencies. This person will play a pivotal role in cross-functional collaboration to derive insights from performance data, drive strategic initiatives, and deliver measurable results.

This is a remote opportunity. 


To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Strategically plan, execute, and optimize paid search campaigns on Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, leveraging advanced features and bidding strategies to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as ROAS, CPA, and CTR.
  • Utilize advanced analytics techniques to analyze performance data, identify trends, and uncover actionable insights for campaign optimization and strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external agencies to develop integrated media strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring cohesive messaging and consistent brand presence across channels.
  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive dashboards using tools such as Looker, Data Studio, or other relevant platforms to visualize campaign performance, track KPIs, and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Conduct in-depth performance reviews and produce detailed reports for management, highlighting key findings, performance trends, and actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Lead special projects and assignments requiring advanced analytical abilities, such as audience segmentation, keyword research, competitive analysis, and attribution modeling.
  • Present findings, strategies, and recommendations to cross-functional teams, including peers, managers, and senior leadership, effectively communicating complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Manage media budgets effectively, optimizing allocation across campaigns and channels to maximize ROI while ensuring adherence to financial targets and reporting requirements.
  • Utilize advanced Excel functionalities for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling, including pivot tables, macros, and advanced formulas, to extract actionable insights and streamline reporting processes.

Required Work Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in performance media management, with a strong focus on paid search advertising.
  • Proven track record of managing budgets exceeding $500k per month.
  • B2C ecommerce experience

Preferred Work Experience:

  • Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with tag management, and the overall privacy and data tracking environment.
  • Familiarity with paid media management on social networks such as Reddit, Quora, Meta, and Video on YouTube.
  • Familiarity with Tealium Tag Management.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Team-oriented with the ability to work well with diverse, cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization
  • Capable of working autonomously in a fast-paced environment
  • Can self-prioritize tasks and context switch as needed
  • Must be comfortable with a deadline-driven environment

Technical/Job Specific Knowledge:

  • Expertise in Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and Google Analytics is essential.
  • Google Ads and Google Analytics certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Looker, Data Studio, or similar dashboarding tools is a bonus.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, macros, and advanced formulas, are critical for data manipulation and analysis.

·         Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets, draw actionable insights, and make data-driven decisions.

·         Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey insights and recommendations to diverse stakeholders.

·         Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners, driving alignment and achieving shared goals.

·         Excellent project management skills, including management of agencies and vendors to ensure execution

·         Familiarity with project management tools, preferably Asana

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud


Education:
Bachelor’s Degree (Required)


The base salary range for this position is ~ $95,000 - $120,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.
