Manager, Software Testing
Job Description
Manages a team of test engineers responsible for functional, system, integration, regression, and end to end testing. Works with the testing team to assist with test estimation, resource allocation, preparation of test plans/strategies, assessing risk of testing effort and the testing of software to company guidelines and standards.
Responsible for maintaining Product Quality metrics, reporting these metrics to management and working on process improvements to improve overall Product quality.
*The position is based in Secaucus, NJ. Please note the work arrangement is hybrid (3 days in office & 2 days WFH).
Pay Range: $135 - $145/ year
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities:
Be able to manage a team of test engineers responsible for the development and implementation of test plans, design and writing of test cases, and execution software testing
- Ensure the completeness, effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and consistency of all testing.
- Develop strategies for testing new applications and production systems. Coordinate this activity with appropriate units
- Utilize testing knowledge and experience to assess and advise on the practicalit of testing process alternatives
- Identify improvements to the process and assists in the implementation
- Ensures that any risks associated with the agreed test strategy and the system test plan are clearly documented and described to the stakeholders
- Manages all risk associated with the testing and takes preventative and mitigation actions when any risks become unacceptable
- Develop and manage testing schedules, report progress to all stakeholders
- Conduct analysis of completed testing and recommend disposition of software applications and information systems
- Evaluate, recommend and implement software tools to improve the testing process
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies
- Manage and maintain metric program of the department to measure, analyze, and improve the test engineering process and methodology
- Provide internal/external training to team
- Work with HR hiring manager for hiring resources
- Work with 3rd party vendors for hiring contractors for augmenting resources
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
Required Work Experience:
- 6 – 8 years of IT software test experience and/or systems QA experience
- 3+ years of project management experience, developing and setting up automatic functional tests and stress tests
Preferred Work Experience:
Development and code implementation
Skills:
Strong leadership skills, strong MS Office skills, MS project Skills, Visio, Strong written and oral communication skills
Knowledge:
Software Testing theories and practices, tools development experiences for testing and QA
