Support Data Engineering and Data Design responsibilities for the Health Systems team. Partner with internal and external key stakeholders to translate master data sets into customized analytical dashboards and visual tools. Develop, maintain, and document data models that transform application data into actionable reporting and analysis assets. Work collaboratively with all stakeholders namely data engineers, business analysts, and data scientists to align business requirements with data assets.


Support Operational Analytics Data Science responsibilities

  • Develop /program automation in VBA &/or Altyrx to collate multiple data feeds (internal and external) into single master data sets and automate daily reporting processes
  • Design and maintain data submission templates to be used as the basis of master data sets
  • Query and collate metrics from automated and non-standard data sources and in adherence to operational definitions
  • Develop automated data solutions in partnership with corporate IT and Master Data Management teams to collate multiple site-specific information into single master data sets
  • Perform checks and audits of all data sources to ensure resulting metrics are accurate and complete

Support Operational Analytics Data Design responsibilities

  • Design and develop key operational scorecards and dashboards to provide data driven insights
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to design and adopt operating mechanisms to manage critical data at the local level in a single structured format
  • Design and maintain data submission templates to be used as the basis of master data sets
  • Leverage developed solutions to create customized and accurate reporting / scorecard / management tools for regional Operations teams

Examples of Operational Metrics that will be owned, designed, managed, and analyzed

  • Daily turnaround time performance of key laboratory tests
  • Daily & hourly labor productivity metrics by job function
  • Daily monitor of test not performed
  • Daily volume data
  • Other key indicators as defined by the stakeholder

Work Experience:

  • 3-year minimum work experience in role requiring analytics or reporting
  • Expertise in creating, managing, and discerning large master data sets (Alteryx, Automate)
  • Expertise in rational database query and creation (Snowflake, Access & SQL)
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses (like Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) that rely on MPP (Multiple Parallel Processing)
  • Experience in managing SFTP data sharing
  • Process / Continuous Improvement Experience (GB Certification preferred)
  • Direct experience in influencing operational leaders
  • A proven track record in analyzing data and drawing actionable conclusions
  • Systems knowledge: QLS, QBS, QDSS, Cognos, QPS, QMPS, IDAA
  • Software / Programming requirements:
  • Excel- for data mining and creation of static modeling
  • Alteryx- for metadata aggregation
  • Minitab- for statistical analysis of historical data
  • Access- for database queries and creation
  • SharePoint - for distribution of metrics / data sets
  • Microsoft Power Bi

Education Preferred:   

  • BS/BA or equivalent required (Mathematics/Statistics degree preferred)
