Job Description


The Epic Prelude and Cadence Sr. Analyst II is responsible for the design, configuration, testing, and optimization of Epic Prelude and Cadence workflows. This role applies a deep understanding of patient access, scheduling, and front-end revenue cycle processes to create scalable and compliant solutions that enable reliable and efficient operations. The Analyst II collaborates with patient access leadership, technology, and cross-application Epic teams to ensure all Prelude and Cadence configurations support operational excellence, efficiency, and a positive end-user and patient experience.

Salary range: $112,0000 to $131,000 per year. Actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.




Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the design, build, and configuration of Prelude and Cadence functionalities from workflows, and system integrations
  • Conduct thorough testing of all build and configuration changes to ensure accuracy, stability and performance
  • Performs analysis and optimization of system workflows and processes
  • Lead project life-cycle management efforts, including planning and execution
  • Utilize process metrics to drive performance, use opportunities to improve system performance, and develop associated documentation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive system improvements and enhancements
  • Test and validate changes to secure system functionality for enhancements or regularly scheduled upgrades prior to promotion to production

  • Generate and update appropriate documentation as per policy and procedure including requirements, specifications, change control, end user documentation

  • Maintain current knowledge of technology by attending appropriate continuing education training
  • Monitor operational KPIs (eg registration accuracy, wait times, patient throughput) and maintain change control documentation
  • Participates in integrated, interdisciplinary committees, and team meetings as assigned
  • Participates in new implementation and installation project teams
  • Mentor other analysts, establishing configuration standards and reusable components
  • Independently troubleshoots, researches, and solves technically challenging problems
  • Logs, tracks, and resolves issues, and coordinates system changes per change control policies
  • Document configuration, decision logic, and validation evidence to meet HIPAA, JCAHO, and other regulatory and audit requirements
  • Provide effective support for critical system issues, including on-call support for onsite and offsite locations. 



Qualifications:

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in Epic Prelude and Cadence application including one full implementation
  • Working knowledge of integration points and data flows between Prelude and Cadence
  • Deep understanding of patient access processes
  • Strong attention to detail including verbal communication and documentation skills
  • Healthcare industry experience

Preferred:

  • Experience in Laboratory/Diagnostics industry
  • Experience with related Epic modules eg MyChart
  • Experience with healthcare data and analytics

Education:

  • College degree in computer science, information science or equivalent work experience (Required)
  • Certification in Epic Prelude and Cadence (Required)
  • Multiple Epic Certifications (Preferred)

  • Project management Agile or Six Sigma (Preferred)
