EPIC Sr. Analyst, Ambulatory - II
Job Description
The Epic Ambulatory Sr. Analyst is responsible for building, maintaining and modifying Epic systems, including documenting and understanding system workflows. They identify areas of improvement and collaboratively work with internal customers to identify solutions. Works closely with cross functional application team and clients by providing education on system functionality, and configuration of new tools to increase end user productivity with the application. They provide support by correcting issues that arise from customer usage, identifying necessary configuration changes, supporting related systems, creating detailed test cases, contributing to testing and results analysis, and documenting all systems changes. The Epic Analyst plays a crucial role in integrating systems and Epic applications, to create cohesive value chain solutions. They enhance product life-cycle management by understanding and optimizing system workflows.
This candidate can work in a hybrid capacity out of the following location: Secaucus, NJ.
Salary range: $97,000 to $113,000 per year. Actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
Responsibilities:
- Performs analysis and optimization of system workflows and processes
- Build, configure and test Epic application
- Lead project life-cycle management efforts, including planning and execution
- Fully proficient in Ambulatory application
- Utilize process metrics to drive performance, use opportunities to improve system performance, and develop associated documentation
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive system improvements and enhancements
Test and validate changes to secure system functionality for enhancements or regularly scheduled upgrades prior to promotion to production.
- Generate and update appropriate documentation as per policy and procedure including requirements, specifications, change control, end user documentation.
- Maintain current knowledge of technology by attending appropriate continuing education training
- Participates in integrated, interdisciplinary committees, and team meetings as assigned
- Participates in new implementation and installation project teams.
- Independently troubleshoots, researches, and solves technically challenging problems.
- Logs, tracks, and resolves issues, and coordinates system changes per change control policies.
- Provide effective support for critical system issues, including on-call support for onsite and offsite locations.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in Epic Ambulatory application including one full implementation
- Strong attention to detail including verbal communication and documentation skills
- Healthcare industry experience
- College degree in computer science, information science or equivalent work experience (Required)
- Maintain Epic certification in one or more applications, demonstrating their proficiency and expertise in those specific areas. (Required)
Preferred:
- Experience in Laboratory/Diagnostics industry
- Experience with Genetic Counseling Workflows
Understanding of Scheduling and Check-In workflows in a clinic setting
