Job Description
The Director, Business Transformation Operations – National will be responsible for leading Lean transformation by developing and deploying Lean Business System standards and methods across the organization while improving operational performance.The successful candidate will drive operational process rigor and performance in Labs, Logistics, and Patient Service Centers across all regions, while working closely with cross-functional teams to develop actionable roadmaps to increase efficiency across operational business processes and sub-processes.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in operations from various industries while applying lean manufacturing and change-management methods to transform the organization as an engaging continuous improvement culture.
This position must be based (hybrid) at one of the following locations: Clifton, NJ; Marlborough, MA; Wood Dale, IL; Irving, TX; or Lenexa, KS.
Pay Range: $170,000,000 - $205,000/year + 20% Annual Incentive Plan
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities:
Lead Lean Business System development and sustainability including Lean Tools that are TPS-based.
Lead national implementation of Model DMS systems, Lean Model Cells, and 5S Organization.
Build a Lean Toolbox for enterprise-wide use across all regions and functions.
Lead teams in problem solving (PSP, A3, PDCA, 8-D) to develop a culture of continuous improvement.
Engage with senior leadership and teams to adopt Lean standards while leading process improvements with actionable roadmaps to improve productivity and margin expansion.
Leads a portfolio of complex projects/Kaizen events through prework, implementation, and sustainment.
Drive Lean cultural transformation by promoting problem solving and empowering employee ownership of their roles in continuous improvement.
Lead cross-functional teams in Customer Order-to-Cash VSM activities to improve business value, applying the Lean toolkit of standard work; visual management; DMS; 5S; SMED; kanban; mistake proofing; TPM; etc.
Provide and facilitate effective professional level training on Lean Methodology concepts using Adult learning principles.
Facilitates teams to generate creative low-cost solutions using Lean tools: 7-Ways, Process-at-a-Glance, etc.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as well as internal standards for safety, quality, and environmental sustainability.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in business administration or engineering (manufacturing or industrial engineering) is required. An advanced degree is preferred.
Deep experience with Toyota Production System, Danaher Business System, GE Flight Deck, or Shingijutsu Japan.
At least 10 years of experience in operational leadership role directly applying Lean methodologies.
Prior experience leading a Lean Business System in a Lean-mature organization.
Lean Six Sigma/Six Sigma Black Belt certifications are required.
Successfully managed multi-million-dollar budgets.
Deep knowledge & experience applying Lean methodologies in various operational environments, and a demonstrated track record of Lean leadership and leading multiple Kaizen events to achieve operational results.
Excellent written and verbal skills, results oriented, and collaborative.
Ability to diagnose current business processes, then articulate and ideal target condition, using Lean/Kata coaching methods.
Prior successful experience applying continuous flow using principles of Takt time, standard work, and single piece flow.
Ability to accurately assess business performance from a general manager’s perspective and provide insights for improvement.
Prioritize and self-manage multiple projects.
Exceptional communication skills with all levels of the organization.
The ability to travel 25-50% (domestic) is required.
