The Director of Patient Recruitment Solutions will lead solution delivery initiatives to optimize patient recruitment and retention for clinical trials across multiple therapeutic areas. This role will oversee the development and implementation of innovative patient engagement strategies, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve recruitment goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical research, patient-centric approaches, patient & physician engagement and team leadership.

This role will lead operations activities for the Clinical Trials line of business.


Customer delivery and success for patient recruitment

  • Lead customer success process improvement activities and assist in the management of strategic accounts and channel partners as applicable for client delivery
  • Responsible for managing aspects of the customer relationship as it pertains to the awareness, consideration, proposal and use throughout the customer lifecycle (contracts, onboarding, and support).
  • Manage customer and sales channel support to drive growth and facilitate successful long-term relationships

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute patient recruitment strategies to meet clinical trial enrollment goals.
  • Identify and implement innovative recruitment and retention methods, including digital platforms, partnerships, and community outreach programs.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to enhance recruitment efforts.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Partner with clinical operations, study teams, sponsors, and CROs to align recruitment strategies with study protocols.
  • Build relationships with patient advocacy groups, healthcare providers, and community organizations to expand outreach.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for recruitment-related issues and ensure effective communication among stakeholders.
  • Collaborate in preparing RFPs, pricing and quotes for the solutions in support of sales team.

Data-Driven Decision-Making:

  • Analyze recruitment metrics and performance data to identify challenges and optimize strategies.
  • Monitor utilization trends and success metrics per partner/client and overall performance. Make recommendations to correct deficiencies, improve performance, and drive optimization.
  • Deploy & operationalize predictive models and tools to forecast recruitment timelines and resource needs.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of recruitment specialists, providing guidance and fostering professional development.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and resources for recruitment initiatives.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure recruitment strategies comply with HIPAA, FDA, EMA, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for recruitment processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Work Experience: 

  • 10+ years of experience managing customer focused initiatives in healthcare
  • Experience in pharma & biotech industry strongly preferred
  • 5+ years project management experience
  • 5+ years developing and reporting business operations and customer success metrics
  • Thorough understanding of HIPAA guidelines and experience handling PHI
  • Proven analytical, problem solving, conflict resolution, & decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated experience managing and improving product delivery processes (implementation)
  • Experience implementing and managing reporting and workflow tools (i.e. Smartsheet, BI dashboards, Salesforce, etc)
  • Experience in customer and partner relationship management
