Digital Marketing Specialist

The Digital Marketing Specialist will assist in the planning, execution, and optimization of our digital marketing efforts. This includes the implementation of campaign tactics through enterprise systems such as content management systems, paid media platforms, marketing automation systems, SEO and social tools, web analytics, and more. In this role, you will collaborate with colleagues, internal resources, and external agencies to develop and execute optimized digital marketing tactics that support our marketing and communications strategies and campaigns across the enterprise.
The selected candidate will join a high performing, collaborative and supportive digital marketing team that is beginning to leverage agile marketing principles to best maximize their skillset while supporting the enterprise at large. This position will provide a unique opportunity to benefit from peer-based cross training across a number of digital marketing tools, while learning about the strategy and marketing needs of various functions and teams across a large Fortune 500 healthcare company.
This is a hybrid opportunity, working two days per week in our Secaucus, NJ office.
- Function as a “Power User” of the company’s digital marketing platforms, such as content management systems, paid media platforms, marketing automation systems, etc.
- Plan and administer marketing campaigns; test and analyze workflow, lead generation, lead nurturing and lead scoring; and identify tactics for improvement.
- Manage user groups, configure and generate reports, and organize assets/campaigns within the digital marketing systems.
- Participate in implementation of enhancements and upgrades to digital marketing platforms as needed.
- Participate in SEO and SEM efforts, including keyword, page, and image optimization for search engines.
- Lead new user and new feature training sessions online and in-person.
- Develop an understanding of organizational data in order to segment communications for appropriate target audiences.
- Collaborate with peers and agencies to develop and support the digital aspects of marketing campaigns.
- Manage a marketing communication calendar to provide organizational insight into communications being planned and sent.
- Measure performance of digital marketing efforts using a variety of web analytics tools.
Education:
Bachelors in Marketing, Business, Advertising, Communications or other related discipline..
Critical Know-How and Skill Selection Criteria
Must be comfortable with digital marketing concepts, content management systems, customer relationship management, and marketing automation software, and possess web development and digital design skills (HTML and CSS at a minimum). JavaScript knowledge is a plus.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in digital marketing, including at least 1-2 years of experience configuring and managing complex campaigns in digital marketing platforms.
- Knowledge of content management systems required. Experience with or certification in Adobe Experience Manager a plus.
- Knowledge of marketing automation platforms required. Experience with or certification in Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Eloqua a plus.
- Experience using digital analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc. to analyze campaign and digital marketing effort performance. And Content Management Systems such as Adobe Experience Manager to create and edit website content is a plus.
- Experience with developing and implementing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies a plus.
- Fully proficient with various software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience working within an agile project management structure a plus.
- Pharmaceutical, healthcare, diagnostic, lab or consumer packaged goods experience a plus.
