Job Description


The Epic Resolute Billing Analyst I is a hands-on Epic application professional responsible for executing configuration, testing, maintenance and support within Epic Professional Billing (PB) module. This role focuses on maintaining system accuracy, resolving operational issues, and supporting the delivery of clean claims and efficient billing workflows.  The Analyst I works collaboratively with peers, and cross functional teams to ensure reliable billing functionality and consistent end user performance across Quest’s revenue cycle management.

Please note this is a hybrid opportunity (3 days in office & 2 days WFH). The position can be based in one of the following locations: Secaucus, NJ, Schaumburg IL, Tampa, FL, or Dallas, TX

Pay Range: $88,540 - 136,000 - $102,520 / year




Responsibilities:
  • Configure and maintain assigned Epic PB components including charge router rules, billing work queues, claims edits, and remittance processing.
  • Perform configuration tasks accurately and independently under established standards and timelines.
  • Translate operational requirements into technical build changes that improve billing efficiency and compliance.
  • Maintain precise documentation of all configuration work, test outcomes, and migrations.
  • Support configuration updates required for payer rule changes or workflow improvements.
  • Investigate and resolve issues affecting charge capture, claim generation, and payment posting.
  • Use Epic tools such as error workqueues, Chronicles, and reporting to identify root causes.
  • Collaborate with other PB analysts, integration teams, and revenue cycle staff to resolve cross-functional issues.
  • Monitor and manage assigned error work queues to maintain billing throughput and accuracy.
  • Create and execute test scripts for system enhancements, upgrades, and maintenance builds.
  • Perform integrated and regression testing to validate end-to-end workflows.
  • Confirm test results align with operational expectations and compliance standards.
  • Participate in go-live readiness, production validation, and post-implementation review activities.
  • Partner with Revenue Cycle Operations, Finance, and IT integration teams to ensure Epic PB supports Quest’s business and compliance objectives.
  • Communicate system changes, issues, and resolutions clearly to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to project meetings, testing cycles, and team discussions with accurate, timely input.
  • Assist in maintaining consistent build and documentation standards across the PB team.
  • Identify recurring issues or process gaps and recommend improvements to configuration or workflow.
  • Participate in initiatives that enhance billing accuracy, automation, and user satisfaction.
  • Maintain awareness of Epic version updates, payer changes, and Quest internal policies affecting billing workflows.



Qualifications:

Required:

  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare IT, billing, or revenue operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong understanding of charge capture, claim generation, and payment posting processes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot system issues and communicate solutions effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and task management skills.
  • Epic Resolute Professional Billing Certification
  • Completion of Epic and Quest-specific billing system orientation and training
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Business, or the equivalent work experience.
  • English Required.

Preferred:

  • Experience working within a large healthcare or reference laboratory billing environment.
  • Familiarity with Epic SBO, Claims, or Charge Router modules.
  • Knowledge of payer billing rules, denials, and reimbursement workflows.
  • Experience collaborating with clearinghouses or external billing partners.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Business, or the equivalent work experience. (Required)
