Job Description
The Executive Director will ensure consistent delivery, drive the advancement of enterprise-wide Agile and program/project management practices, and foster a high-performing environment in a highly matrixed organization. The successful candidate will establish and oversee a flexible, enterprise-wide pool of resources that can be efficiently assigned and leveraged across programs. A critical aspect of this role includes frequent engagement with the C-suite and senior stakeholders to align on strategic priorities, ensure transparency in delivery, and strengthen technology-business partnerships.

PayRange:$250,000- $280,000/year + Annual Incentive Plan + Long-Term Incentive
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Execution
Provide executive leadership to teams of Program Managers, Scrum of Scrum Leaders, and Business Relationship Managers, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and delivery excellence.
Define, build, and scale the enterprise-wide practices for Agile delivery, program/project management, and business relationship management (BRM) to ensure consistent execution, governance, and value realization.
Partner with senior leadership to shape strategic priorities, drive execution roadmaps, and optimize resource allocation across programs and initiatives.
Champion a culture of operational excellence, business alignment, and proactive problem-solving across all initiatives.
Enterprise Practice Development & Maturity
Lead the development and evolution of Agile, Project Management, and BRM practices, ensuring they are effectively integrated across the organization.
Establish best-in-class frameworks, methodologies, and governance models for Agile, traditional program management, and business engagement.
Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure these practices align with business strategy, technology roadmaps, and enterprise priorities.
Develop and implement training, coaching, and enablement programs to uplift organizational capabilities in Agile, project management, and BRM disciplines.
Business Relationship Management (BRM) Oversight
Lead the BRM function, ensuring that business needs are effectively translated into technology and operational initiatives.
Drive the intake, prioritization, and governance of business demands, aligning technology roadmaps with business strategy.
Act as a strategic partner to business leaders, advocating for their needs while ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and technology capabilities.
Cross-Functional & Cross-Team Execution
Drive seamless execution across multiple business and technology teams, ensuring dependencies are proactively managed, risks are mitigated, and delivery objectives are met.
Establish governance models to facilitate cross-team coordination, risk management, and decision-making at scale.
Lead executive-level communication and reporting to provide transparency into program and portfolio health, risks, and key outcomes.
Program Execution & Governance
Oversee end-to-end program execution, ensuring that scope, timelines, budgets, and quality metrics are consistently achieved.
Define and enforce governance frameworks to standardize execution across teams, enhance reporting accuracy, and drive accountability.
Implement and refine Agile-at-scale frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, etc.) to improve collaboration and execution efficiency.
Agile Transformation & Delivery Excellence
Champion Agile principles and practices, driving the adoption of Agile and hybrid methodologies to optimize program execution.
Lead Scrum of Scrums and Agile transformation initiatives, ensuring teams are equipped with the right tools and frameworks for success.
Foster a culture of agility, adaptability, and continuous improvement, driving innovation and efficiency across teams.
Project Management Tools & Reporting Optimization
Own the oversight and governance of project and portfolio management tools, including JIRA, Clarity, Rally, Confluence, and other Agile and program execution platforms.
Ensure these tools are optimized to support program execution, strategic planning, reporting, and governance.
Drive standardization of reporting dashboards, key performance metrics, and analytics to provide executive visibility into project, program, and BRM performance.
Partner with IT and business stakeholders to continuously evolve tool capabilities in response to changing enterprise needs.
Stakeholder & Executive Communication
Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership, providing data-driven insights and recommendations on program execution, Agile delivery, and business relationship management.
Establish executive-level reporting structures to provide transparency into strategic initiatives, key risks, and performance outcomes.
Build strong, trust-based relationships with senior business and technology leaders, fostering alignment and collaboration across the enterprise.
Qualifications:
ABachelor’sDegree is required. An advanced degree/MBA is preferred.
15+ years of experience in program management, Agile delivery, or enterprise strategy execution, with at least 5 years in an executive leadership role.
Proven experience building, evolving, and scaling enterprise-wide practices in Agile delivery, project management, and business relationship management.
Strong expertise in Agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) and traditional program management methodologies (PMI).
Demonstrated success in driving cross-functional execution and strategic business alignment across business and technology teams.
Experience leading and scaling Business Relationship Management (BRM) programs.
Expertise in managing project and portfolio management tools such as JIRA, Clarity, Rally, and Confluence.
Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and executive reporting skills.
Experience leading governance structures, demand intake processes, and enterprise reporting frameworks.
The ability to travel 25-50%.
