Director, Connectivity Operations
Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Connectivity Operations Director with extensive Epic and other LIS/EMR Integrations to guide and optimize EMR integration efforts between our laboratory systems and client environments. As the subject matter expert, you will guide integration strategy, oversee implementation portfolios, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless and scalable connectivity for Epic-based systems, especially in high-stakes environments such as M&A activities and client conversions.

PayRange:$175,000 - $225,000/year
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
Serve as the subject matter expert for Epic integrations, particularly with third-party EMR systems, client migrations, and M&A-related projects.
Provide strategic direction and best practice recommendations for Epic integration across the organization.
Project Oversight & Execution
Provide subject matter expertise and oversee a portfolio of Epic integration implementation projects.
Participate in pre-sales and planning meetings to define project scope and technical requirements.
Collaborate with clients to align laboratory workflows with Epic interfaces, ensuring a balance between customer needs and business objectives.
Drive continuous improvement and quality standards across all Epic integration initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a point of escalation for clients and vendors throughout the integration lifecycle, including direct and onsite interactions.
Facilitate cross-functional meetings to maintain alignment between business, sales, and technology stakeholders.
Communicate project priorities and timelines clearly, managing expectations with both internal and external partners.
Team Enablement & Support
Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams including M&A, commercial, and Connectivity Operations.
Assist in escalating and resolving complex integration or support issues efficiently including participation in immediate post-live assessments.
Promote knowledge sharing within the team to ensure consistent delivery of best practices.
Operational Flexibility
Adjust work hours as necessary to accommodate client and internal team time zones.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall team objectives.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience, is required.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in laboratory operations or laboratory IT is required.
A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience with Epic integrations, with deep knowledge of Epic laboratory workflows.
Strong leadership and project management skills, including the management of remote teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional, client-facing role.
Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
The ability to travel 25-50%.
