Cultivates innovation by discovering business opportunities and defining solutions for Quest Diagnostics customers leveraging our portfolio or services and leading the solution development process. Gathers market and competitive intelligence and curates external insights to clearly define customer needs and addressable market opportunities. Collaborates with senior leaders and stakeholders to understand business opportunities and define requirements for profitable growth. Delivers business opportunity proposals and lean business cases to support decision making throughout review stage gates. As directed, may assume lead for other cross-portfolio strategic initiatives.


  • Owns the development of innovative solutions to address market and customer needs. Oversees the intake and approval of all new concepts into the solution development process.
  • Accountable for aligning with executive sponsors and internal stakeholders to identify business opportunities, define solution concepts, and infuse external/customer insights into solution development. Creates and delivers business opportunity proposals and lean business cases for stage gate review.
  • Works closely with Market Research & Analytics to develop targeted customer insights using quantitative and qualitative methods. Also directs MR&A to deliver market sizing.
  • Stays abreast of changes in the marketplace impacting customers. Maintains a working knowledge of the company’s differentiating products and those of the competitors.
  • Responsible for shaping initial concept pre-configuration – includes market sizing, segmentation, targeting, personas, routes to market, pricing strategy, and configuration assessment.
  • Leads review of stage gate deliverables with enterprise stakeholders and leaders.
  • Collaborates with Strategic Solutions team members to contribute to business cases, market requirements, value propositions, customer journeys, KPI development, and growth plans for solutions.
  • Creates and provides internal reporting regarding solution development to Marketing and Business leaders.
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities related to the solution development process.
  • Serves as a Strategic Solutions team representative for enterprise and cross-functional ideation/strategy sessions.
  • Maintains and nurtures strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders who are accountable for bringing solutions to market.

Education:  Bachelor's degree required

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years success in a marketing, product, or strategy role
  • 5+ years healthcare industry experience preferred
  • Healthcare industry, regulations, payers and regulations
  • General economics of B2B business transactions
