JOB SUMMARY:

The Inventory Planner performs inventory and cycle counts and replenishes supply carts. The incumbent actively supports and complies with all company and departmental policies and procedures.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Count items on carts to establish current inventory and enter information into Materials Management software system.

  • Run pick tickers and pull items from designated stocking area(s) to replenish cart inventory.

  • Replenish cart items according to predetermined stocking levels.

  • Rotate stock according to lot numbers and expiration date to ensure proper stock rotation and use prior to expiration, while minimizing lot number changes.

  • Report any inventory discrepancies, backorders, low supply levels, damaged goods, short dated materials (less than 30 days shelf life remaining), etc. to Warehouse Materials Analyst and/or Warehouse Manager for reconciliation.

  • Assist in managing phase in/phase out of items to minimize/eliminate waste.

  • Act as liaison between the end user and the Materials Analyst to maintain accurate and timely lines of communication.

  • Assist in cycle and full physical inventory as needed in the departments as wells as the warehouse and client supply areas.

  • Assist in preparation and distribution of reports as needed.

  • Comply with all applicable and current Materials and Services Management, Human Resources, Employee Health and Safety, Compliance, OSHA, CLIA, etc. policies and procedures.

  • Perform other duties as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

-Ability to lift up to seventy (70) pounds.

-Ability to operate materials handling equipment as needed (pallet jack, etc.)

-Minimum of High School diploma or GED.

-Minimum of one (1) year experience in warehouse/store room desired.

-Basic knowledge of inventory control system desired.

-Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, excel, etc.) helpful but not required.

-With valid driver's license and the ability to drive a motor vehicle (non-commercial truck, car, van, etc.) helpful but not required.

-Basic understanding of mathematics skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

-Good communication and problem solving skills.

-Demonstrate Good record keeping skills.

-Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

-Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

-Ability to operate a computer, printer and bar code scanner.
