Job Description


The Accounting Coordinator position is a hybrid role that will reside at the Palm Beach Gardens, FL site.  This is a Part-Time position.

The role of the Accounting Coordinator is to perform a variety of routine and non-routine accounting and clerical functions in accordance with accounting policies and procedures.  This role supports Pathology Finance team.




Responsibilities:

Administrative

  • Perform administrative duties for facility (pay local invoices, monitor/purchase supplies, arrange for services, maintain P-Card, etc.)
  • Input purchase requisitions for office and offsite individuals
  • Process/redirect mail including account coding of miscellaneous cash receipts 
  • Work with vendors to ensure accurate billing of invoices and payment status
  • Handle ‘live check’ paperwork and submit for deposit
  • Perform additional duties and assist with other projects/department needs upon request from management

Finance

  • Generate, assemble and distribute presentations/reports in both Excel and Power Point
  • Assist with fixed assets and various capital purchase record keeping (template preparation, spend tracking, physical inventory review)
  • Receive, research, and respond to employee inquiries regarding general ledger expenditure postings
  • Code invoices for processing and obtain appropriate approvals based on Authorization Matrix 
  • Assist with month end reporting packages and other pre/post close items
  • Assist with daily and monthly volume reporting
  • Preparation of Journal Entry and reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts
  • Perform additional duties and assist with other projects/department needs upon request from management



Qualifications:

Education Preferred:

  • Academic Associates degree or equivalent college credits

Work Experience:

  • 1 to 3 years in accounting related field preferred

Other: 

  • Strong computer skills including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Oracle, Essbase, Power BI a plus
  • Demonstrated analytical abilities
