DLO Billing Coordinator III
Job Description
Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma- Oklahoma City, OK Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
Essential Functions of Employment with DLO:
• Show up for work, on time & prepared each and every scheduled work day
• Perform all tasks and processes assigned to you including all tasks and processes you are fully qualified to perform and all tasks and processing that you may be over-qualified to perform
• Maintain a positive and supportive attitude throughout each and every scheduled work day & work as a collaborative team member with your fellow teammates on a daily basis
- Entering Medicare orders and validating and/or invalidating Medicare ABN’s, while meeting keying quotas, as well as QC quotas.
- Requesting medical records for claims that have been denied specifically for that reason.
- Working with nursing homes to obtain census information required for billing.
- Working claims denials for all payer types.
Responsibilities:
Employee will be required to know the entire billing cycle and have experience in working claims denials.
Employee will be required to have at least 2 years of Medicare billing experience and know what a valid ABN is and be able to type no less than 55 words per minute.
Qualifications:
Overtime may be required to meet month end processes.
