Tax Accountant II (Remote)

• Main responsibilities will be sales & use tax and personal property tax compliance for assigned jurisdictions
• Filing returns, making payments, performing monthly account reconciliation and audit for all transactional taxes
• Assist in researching exemptions and developing tax positions
• Drive process

• Maintaining Departmental Control Charts for his/her jurisdictions
• Staying current on transactional tax law changes and regulations
• Interfacing and participating on projects with Senior Indirect Tax Management
• Supporting Tax Manager on ad hoc projects
• Developing and analyzing data
• Preparing monthly journal entries to reverse and accrue for proper taxation as well as allocating entries to accrue use tax to correct jurisdictions and legal entities
• Making and developing improvement strategies for transactional tax processes
• Active participant on assigned Innovation Projects
• Ensure accurate, timely analysis of reconciliations including
• Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax
• Provide support with various internal audits and special tax related projects

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 
• CPA (preferred)

Required Work Experience:

• At least a year of prior Sales & Use tax experience in a multi-entity, multi-state organization
• Public accounting background is a plus
