Responsible for the day-to-day workflows of the Purchasing Shared Services Center for both onsite and offshore team members. In addition to delegating the workflow streams, the Team Lead will work to continuously improve performance to customer service metrics and oversee the metrics reporting process.


• Serve as workflow lead for PO processing, PO/system updates, item maintenance activities, match exception management, daily reporting, shared HP portal tickets, Email boxes, and the Shared Services Hotline.
• Collaborate with offshore Supervisor to manage the flow of HP portal tickets and all workflows in scope.
• Assist and guide offshore team with resolution of purchasing payment discrepancies and in achieving first pass match & aged invoice targets & goals.
• Interface with and manage the relationship between internal stakeholders and the offshore team.
• Coordinate and resolve workflow escalations and inquiries from Shared Services team. Liaison workflow escalations and inquiries between Shared Services team and portfolio teams.
• Review and process PO requests for services created by the Business Units and create Corporate service purchase requisitions for designated suppliers, validating both types against current POs/agreement specifics, and obtaining approvals from the Business Units for the spend by Region.
• Review and process New Vendor requests and Level 2 updates as Shared Services’ administrator for team.
• Review, format, and load templates for PO changes, PO re-opens & closings, and Supplier by “Buyer” relationships in PeopleSoft.
• Approve match exception overrides for invoices not directed to correct company.
• Perform monthly PO performance and PO price change audits made by Shared Services team.
• Maintain SOPs, Work Instructions and other Purchasing Shared Services’ process documentation.
• Train onsite and offsite team in various workflows and assist in their professional development.
• Support Senior Shared Services Manager by providing insight and documenting solutions to drive continuous improvement in systems and processes.
• Assist with offshore Associate responsibilities.
• Lead or assist with other Procurement initiatives as required.
• Meet & exceed stakeholder-driven service standards.
• Any other duties to support the Procurement Shared Services group, as assigned.


• BA/BS in business, supply management, or the equivalent in education and experience. Advanced degree (MBA/MS), C.P.M. or APICS helpful.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in purchasing or supply chain, preferably for a healthcare or diagnostics’ company, with knowledge of services’ purchasing desirable.
• Experience leading projects or teams, specifically managing call center or customer service activities preferred.

Skills and Capabilities:
• Knowledge of the P2P process, purchasing systems and materials management processes.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with strong project management skills that include:
prioritizing tasks, balancing workflow of multiple teams, anticipating next steps, and adapting to change
• Customer service focus & strong communication skills
• Office 365 proficiency, including Outlook, Excel, Power Point, and Word
• PeopleSoft or other ERP system experience (SAP, Ariba, Oracle, for example)
• Ability and agility to structure and solve problems
• Team player and motivator
• Ability to influence, set high standards and achieve them
• Demonstrated business acumen, supply management experience a plus
