Technical Training Program Supervisor - Lewisville, TX - Monday to Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM

Responsible for supporting the Quest Esoteric Clinical Laboratory Training program. Provides program support, standardization, and continuous improvement of all the specialties of the training program. Responsible for maintaining accurate and detailed documentation of all programs in the esoteric sites to ensure the successful launches and completions of the various specialty training programs throughout the Esoteric.

Pay Range: $68,200+ per year
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

  • Assists in the budget, policies, personnel, and procedures for the Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) Training, and State and Personnel Licensure Program(s).
  • Coordinates the CLS Training and lecture schedules with Laboratory Operations, scientific, and medical functions.
  • Assists in keeping employees informed of all changes in personnel policies related to CLS training and licensure, assists in counseling staff members on adherence to personnel policies. Assists in the solution and appropriate actions to complaints received from Management team and staff.
  • Assists in establishing, organizing, standardizing all applicable processes, records, and maintaining all documentation related to the training programs throughout the esoteric sites.
  • Assists in establishing standardized program and records as required for effective and controlled program functions.
  • Organizes interviews, lectures, and testing administrative functions.
  • Provides CLS trainee qualification evaluation and education counselling to prospective students or employees.
  • Conducts research into CLS training programs and activities , and recommends changes or innovations when desirable.
  • Maintains program training evaluations and performance appraisals of test scores and end of the year performance evaluations.
  • Organizes and participates in the new employee orientation and graduation events.
  • Provides supervision to ensure that the training programs and practices comply with applicable provisions of federal and state labor laws, and all regulatory and state licensing requirements. 
  • Collaborates with Human Resources to inform on program completion and ASCP certifications.
  • Manages local implementation of corporate programs as assigned. 
  • Participate in Administrative staff meeting and attends other meetings, such as seminars.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Work Experience: 

  • A minimum of one (1) year of in-house service as Senior Medical Technologist or Group Lead in the designated discipline is normally required for promotion to this level.

Preferred Work Experience: 

  • 5 years of experience working in an education or laboratory training program. 
  • Previous administrative functions experience preferred.
  • Two to three year’s successful experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity preferred.

Physical and Mental Requirements: 

  • Works in a biohazard environment, practicing good safety habits.
  • Handles multiple tasks and works in a productive manner.
  • Must have the mental alertness and high energy required to appropriately perform job.
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.

Knowledge: 

  • Understands and is familiar of training programs regulations and requirements.

Skills: 

  • PC skills, MS office applications.
  • Excellent organization, leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to interact effectively with internal and external students and customers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Act in a professional manner at all times.
  • Must be able to adjust schedule to meet business requirements.
  • Knowledge of system tools such as Oracle, EMPower, Kronos.
