Job Description
QA Coordinator - Lewisville, TX - Monday - Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM
Incumbent is responsible for reporting infectious diseases and other laboratory results as determined by State Departments of Health to be reportable. Maintains the Reportable Database, State DOH mailing addresses, current regulations for each state. Responsible for printing daily reports and mailing or emailing as appropriate. Incumbent is also responsible for assisting in the identification and implementation of enhancements to the Reportable Database as required to maintain integrity, compliance and functionality.
Pay Range: $22.98+ per hour
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all comprehensive State DOH Reportable programs
- Participate in CDC & DOH conferences and seminars
- Print reports and mail all reportable results as deemed by the State and/ or CDC.
- Initiate test add process for specimens to be sent to state labs for confirmation testing, as necessary
- Keeps current with the requirements and identify any new requirements that pertain to local business unit.
- Maintain copies of current state regulations, reportable requirements, and mailing addresses for each state.
- Serve as the liaison between all DOH agencies and the local Business Unit. Maintain telephone and written contact with each DOH.
- Contact clients to obtain necessary patient demographics required for reportables.
- Monitor laboratory updates for any new and updated test codes and implement as necessary to the Reportable Database.
- Notify appropriate personnel of reportable problems, assist in corrective actions, as needed, and monitor corrections to assure compliance.
- Support monthly reportable audit
- Provide assistance to internal and external customers in direct relation the reportables and its functionality.
- Other Quality Assurance functions as determined by the QA Manager.

Required Work Experience:
3-4 years related work experience

Physical and Mental Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
Knowledge:
- Demonstrated laboratory system experience
- Knowledge of laboratory processes and personnel.
- Knowledge of organizational/departmental policies and procedures.
- Basic knowledge of computer terminal operations
Skills:
- Computer skills required (word processing, spread sheets, etc.)
- Demonstrated communication skills, especially reading comprehension.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Communication skills necessary to handle telephone inquiries from clients
- Ability to deal with client information in a confidential manner
