Sr. Pricing Analyst (Hybrid)
Supports Pricing Operations financial and operational evaluation of prospective Hospital and Reference Laboratory opportunities providing insights and consultation to ensure profitable growth and pricing discipline. Towards this objective works closely with Strategic Pricing, Commercial, National Accounts and Field Finance.
- Performs financial analyses required for Hospital and Reference Laboratory as well as nationwide customers including the compilation of fee schedules, revenue projections, synergy analyses and “what-if” scenarios
- Responsible for mapping client test codes to affiliate Quest billing systems and competitors’ test codes
- Develops pricing and profitability analyses with emphasis on profitable growth and pricing discipline
- Develops utilization and membership corridors and integrates such corridors into contracts where applicable to protect the Company from downstream risk
- Operationalizes standard contract exclusions and pricing guidelines
- Operationalizes Clinical Franchise pricing guidelines
- Serves as a subject matter expert to business partners regarding pricing, strategies and contracts
- Interfaces directly with Operations leaders regarding the cost implications associated with new and existing contracts
- Develops methods to streamline the pricing review and authorization process
- Performs specific test campaign analyses to determine the revenue and volume impact for key test initiatives
- Supports due diligence efforts by evaluating contracts
Education Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, marketing, economics, business administration or equivalent work experience
Work Experience:
- Strong understanding of pricing, billing, contracts, operations and sales
- Strong understanding of the healthcare industry
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to realize the impact of technical and pricing changes on areas such as client pricing, legal compliance, billing, etc.
- Strong financial and analytical thinking skills
- Strong influencing skills
- Innovative thinking to work effectively cross-functionally in a matrixed environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
- Proven track record in delivering results
- Strong PC skills (Microsoft Office Suite, MS Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- 5+ years of financial analysis
