Senior Manager of Commercial Enablement – Workforce Health Solutions
Job Description
The Senior Manager of Commercial Enablement manages the commercial operations and sales enablement areas supporting a national business-to-business sales organization (Workforce Health Solutions/WHS). This role oversees customer contracting, requests for proposal (RFPs), and sales support functions, while also driving sales productivity and revenue by equipping the commercial teams with the necessary strategies, tools, content, and technology.
This role reports to the Director of Commercial Operations, and leads the strategic development, logistics, execution, evaluation, and continuous improvement of all commercial enablement initiatives for the Workforce Health Solutions (WHS) team within Quest Diagnostics.
This is a hybrid position based in Lenexa KS (three days per week in-office).
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and continuously improve commercial operations and sales enablement processes, including the creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Lead the team responsible for customer contracting, Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and service level agreements, serving as a key point of escalation.
- Draft, negotiate, and finalize strategic customer agreements and contract templates in collaboration with sales, finance, and legal teams to drive business growth.
- Partner with sales leadership and other stakeholders to define the annual enablement roadmap, identify performance gaps, and iterate on strategies to improve sales effectiveness.
- Manage the end-to-end proposal process for complex and strategic sales opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a centralized repository of sales collateral (e.g., playbooks, pitch decks, case studies) and oversee the sales technology stack, including CRM and learning management systems.
- Act as a liaison between Product, Marketing, Sales, and other client-facing teams to align on go-to-market (GTM) strategies, product launches, and ensure consistent messaging.
- Establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the return on investment (ROI) and effectiveness of all operations and enablement initiatives.
- Drive continuous development initiatives within the commercial team, managing project plans and timelines for successful execution.
- Implement communication mechanisms to ensure all stakeholders are aligned with process changes and new initiatives.
- Achieve QMS Bronze Certification within one year of starting the role.
Qualifications:
Required Work Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in people leadership within commercial operations, sales enablement, contract management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional programs/initiatives.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with management/executive teams.
Preferred Work Experience:
- Process Improvement or Process Management
- Client Management
- Legal Operations
Technical /Job Specific Knowledge:
- Ability to draft and critically review legal agreements and business terms.
- Advanced negotiation skills.
- Deep understanding of the sales process and product lifecycle.
- Expertise in CRM (Salesforce) and Sales Engagement/LMS tools (e.g., Gong, Highspot).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Competency with project management tools and frameworks.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare management, or a related field. (Required)
- Master’s Degree; MBA (Preferred)
Technical Training:
- Project Management Certificate or PMP Certification (Preferred)
- Six Sigma, Lean Principles or QMS Certification (Preferred)
