Sr. Financial Analyst, Southwest Regional Finance (Hybrid)
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for participating in value added financial analytics to facilitate top line growth and operational efficiency. This position assists with various recurring and non-recurring projects initiated by the Finance Manager and Executive Director. This individual must be knowledgeable of general and industry specific accounting and finance practices and flexible enough to manage the more complex activities associated with analyzing financial results and the development of financial statements and corresponding reports. The successful candidate will be expected to routinely provide financial insights on region’s performance to local leadership. The position will report into the Operations Finance Manager and collaborate with various Corporate Finance groups.
- Financial planning and analysis in support of, among other things, monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts, annual budgets, periodic budget restatements and monthly financial reviews with Regional Leadership team
- Provide support related to financial reporting and month end close processes
- Collaboration with Centralized Accounting and Operations Finance teams
- Perform monthly Functional reporting and analytics primarily in support of the Laboratory operation
- Assist in the management of Fixed Assets. Analyze and evaluate regional Capital Spends.
- Serve as subject matter expert in various continuous improvement projects across our Operations footprint. Drive Invigorate and/or Best practice projects
- Facilitate internal audit process and serve as control owner for internal control testing (ICE) related to SOX
- Ad hoc analysis: Fair Market Value (FMV) analysis, Productivity analysis, CAPEX analysis
- Other duties as assigned by Executive Finance Director/Manager
Qualifications:
- Education Preferred: BS/BA degree in Accounting/Finance
Work Experience:
- A minimum of 3-5 years financial analysis is required
Other:
- Outstanding Excel skills
- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy, especially under the pressure of month-end close
- Strong oral and written communication skills, working with Finance Executive Directors, VP Laboratory Operations, GM and their staff
