Sr. Pricing Analyst (Hybrid)
As a business partner to Commercial in the bidding process for Physician segment clients in the East Region, provide insights and consultation to ensure profitable growth and pricing discipline. Responsible for understanding multi-state geographic conditions, state regulations and providing pricing that meets pricing guidelines, marketing and sales objectives, region financial objectives while promoting client profitability.
- Support East Region with critical client and patient pricing and profitability analyses with emphasis on retaining and gaining profitable customers
- Includes Physician segment business where pricing review and approval may include local testing, esoteric performed testing, send out testing to external labs, and other services
- Provide consultation with Commercial Team on bid strategy, bid design and pricing approach
- Provide support for large/complex bids such as Multi-Physician Medical Groups, RFPs, FQHCs and acquisition due diligence and integration
- Support National and local commercial teams with pricing analysis/support regarding National/Enterprise-wide bids, Independent Physician Associations etc.
- Complete all pricing proposal support activities accurately and within policy guidelines
- Assist with coordination and execution of customer account pricing actions and initiatives
- Work with Legal/Compliance, Commercial, and other pricing departments
- Perform Fee Schedule analysis, reconciliations, and updates as needed
- Provide analytical support for special projects or other assignments
Due to the variety of duties and responsibilities and wide array of individuals seeking analytical support (often with customer-driven deadlines), working hours may not always conform to a typical work week.
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience preferred
- Knowledge of pricing/profitability modeling, healthcare industry and billing systems a plus
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, influencing, planning and organization skills (including the ability to manage multiple priorities while exhibiting flexibility and teamwork)
- Exceptional communication skills (needed to convey the quantitative results of analyses to users at all levels of the Region and Commercial organizations); and the ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision
- Strong PC skills (Excel, Word, Microsoft office) required. Access database/report writing applications a plus
