Pay Range: $125,000 - $160,000 / year

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

As a key financial leader and strategic business partner, the Senior Commercial Finance Manager will drive top-line growth for the East Region. In close partnership with the Regional Finance Executive Director and the Commercial leadership team, you will shape our growth strategy by providing critical financial insights and analysis for new business opportunities, strategic initiatives, and health plan contract negotiations. This role will maintain ownership of volume and revenue forecasting that supports our financial plan.




Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Leadership & Business Partnership

  • Act as a strategic financial advisor to Commercial and Regional leadership, modeling new business opportunities and providing profitability analysis to guide decision-making.

  • Drive strategic growth initiatives and RFP responses by providing critical analysis and pricing recommendations.

  • Shape regional market strategy by delivering data-driven insights and financial recommendations.

  • Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure customer agreements are sound and follow appropriate guidance.

Performance Management & Analytics

  • Lead the forecasting of revenue and volume, providing monthly outlooks and insights into performance drivers.

  • Develop and analyze profitability for key investments, including In-Office Phlebotomists (IOPs), Patient Service Centers (PSCs), and connectivity solutions to ensure ROI.

  • Monitor test utilization against contracts to ensure profitability and identify opportunities for optimization.

  • Partner with the Centralized Revenue Recognition and Analytics team to ensure accurate financial reporting and to deliver insightful variance analysis.

Operational Excellence & Process Improvement

  • Serve as the key finance contact for the Commercial team, providing ad-hoc analysis on pricing, payor mix, and billing systems to resolve issues and enable sales.

  • Partner with the Revenue Cycle Management team to align on priorities and address billing issues.

  • Play a pivotal role in the creation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and the subsequent revenue and volume budget.

  • Leverage AI and modern analytics tools to drive efficiencies and generate deeper insights via prompt engineering and agent building.




Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; an MBA and/or CPA is highly desirable.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in a finance role, with a strong preference for experience in a commercial finance or business partner capacity.
  • Strong business partnering with Commercial, Finance and other related functions.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • A strategic and analytical mindset with a demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Expertise in financial modeling and analysis, with proficiency in modern data analysis tools and a willingness to embrace AI to drive efficiency.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong partnerships with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive, results-oriented approach with a passion for driving business growth and making an impact.
