Senior Manager, Enterprise Telemetry
Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned Sr. Dynatrace Manager to lead the development and implementation of advanced monitoring solutions across hybrid enterprise environments. This role will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for monitoring while also ensuring seamless integration with platforms including Dynatrace, Splunk, ELK, Cribl, ServiceNow, and LogicMonitor. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, technical depth, and the ability to mentor and guide cross-functional teams in observability and IT operations best practices.
*Please note this position will be hybrid (3 days in office/ 2 days WFH) The position can be based in one of the following locations; Secaucus NJ, Lenexa KS, Dallas TX, Marlborough, MA, or Schaumburg, IL.
Pay Range: $150-170 / year
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities:
- Monitoring Strategy & Architecture:
- Facilitate the design and evolution of the Enterprise Telemetry portfolio across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Define monitoring strategy aligned with business SLAs, SLOs, and operational KPIs.
- Data Onboarding & Source Integration:
- Support L1 and L2 teams with onboarding of application, infrastructure, and service telemetry.
- Ensure optimal instrumentation via agents, APIs, SDKs, and custom metrics.
- Tool Integration & Automation:
- Design and maintain integrations within the monitoring and event management ecosystem.
- Build automation and reusable templates for faster rollout of monitoring solutions.
- Operational Excellence:
- Serve as escalation point for complex issues, performance bottlenecks, and data fidelity problems within the monitoring platforms.
- Help to define and enforce alerting standards and governance.
- Cross-Team Enablement:
- Collaborate with application owners, DevOps teams, and SREs to ensure telemetry meets diagnostic and business insight needs.
- Provide enablement, documentation, and training on monitoring best practices.
- Continuous Improvement & Roadmap:
- Track emerging features and capabilities in monitoring tools.
- Drive platform maturity, observability-as-code, and AI/ML-powered anomaly detection.
Qualifications:
Required Work Experience:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with monitoring platforms, including dashboards, problem detection, and custom integrations.
- Deep understanding of telemetry types: logs, metrics, traces, events.
- Experience working with hybrid infrastructure: cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) and on-prem.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerized workloads (Docker/Kubernetes), and modern app architectures.
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) and configuration-as-code principles.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Work Experience:
- Professional certification of a monitoring platform, such as Dynatrace, Splunk, LogicMonitor.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry.
- Prior experience in enterprise environments supporting mission-critical systems.
- Exposure to SOX, HIPAA, or other compliance frameworks.
