Senior Director, Business Transformation - East Region
Job Description
The Senior Director will serve as a key member of a regional leadership team, driving an end-to-end analysis of regional Business Operations & performance measures, identifying cross-functional system view of opportunities for profitable growth, driving business transformation leveraging lean and Continuous Improvement (CI) systems thinking, and big data analytics techniques (adopting AI). Additionally, this leadership role requires operational experience in business financials, functions, and a demonstrated ability to collaboratively work across multiple functions to drive change. The successful candidate will lead a team that is responsible for driving business analytics, the use of our Business Transformation toolset with operating functions, project management of business transformation projects, and leading/implementing the appropriate operating cadence for the business.
This position will be based (hybrid) in Clifton, NJ.
Pay Range: $200,000 - $250,000/year + 25% Annual Incentive Plan + Long-Term Incentive
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities:
Own the learning, application, and adoption of Business Transformation principles and practices across large portions of the enterprise with the goal of building localized self-sufficiency, sustainability, and scalability of improvement efforts.
Champion and drive the use of big data analytics tools (adopting AI) to tackle system level problems.
Drive a cultural change shift from dashboards and analytics, towards actions and results.
Own a portfolio of initiatives such as operational execution that result in large-scale improvement across designated functions and businesses.
Capture, quantify, and reapply best-in-class practices between laboratories, businesses, and regions.
Lead, support, and facilitate the development of a regional team of 5-10 Business Transformation specialists, project managers, and data analysts. This team is required to work primarily on-site in our various operational functions including our labs, Logistics hubs, and Patient Service Centers. This role requires the need to occasionally be on-site during evening or 3rd shift hours, and an on-site presence to support and coach their team as needed.
Act as a change agent to guide teams toward success.
Lead efforts to implement Process Control and Management (process definition, documentation, ownership, metrics, and monitoring systems).
Work with functional and site leaders as a “thought leader” to create future state improvement roadmaps with clear executable plans that are in line with the business strategies and improvement needs.
Contribute toward building a grass-roots culture of continuous improvement, use of big data analytics techniques, system thinking, and cross-functional collaboration.
Manage end-to-end activities related to Invigorate cost saving initiatives and Tier metrics.
Manage network capacity and operational footprint.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or similar area of focus is required.A Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
A minimum of 15 years of direct responsibility and operational ownership of different aspects of a business, as well as Continuous Improvement leadership experience at scale, in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Healthcare, or other related industries.
Certification in Lean Six Sigma or equivalent business operating system (i.e. Danaher Business System, Toyota Production System) is strongly preferred. Experience working in the Toyota Production System, Danaher Business System, Virginia Mason Production System, Honeywell Operating System or similarly mature and rigorous lean model is required.
Deep knowledge and understanding of continuous improvement, process management, and system thinking (value stream thinking).
A proven track record of facilitating cross functional discussions, targeted workshops and Kaizens to achieve strategic & operational objectives.
Working knowledge of Hoshin-Kanri principles and practices and breakthrough planning is required.
Demonstrated expertise in driving cross functional collaboration and business transformation projects using program management principles and tools, and a strong track record of success leading and influencing at the senior leadership level without direct authority to drive change.
Demonstrated success leading large, complex, cross-functional change initiatives
Previous experience designing and deploying “kaizen culture” across large organizations.
Expert-level expertise using robust, structured problem-solving and designing countermeasures for multivariate problems.
A proven track record of fostering leadership alignment, target setting, and “catch-ball”.
Proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable.
